Before we board our boat to sail off to the Gili Islands, the Pusuk Temple on Lombok itself is worth a visit. More known for its monkey population than its important spiritual representation, seeing these primates taking claim of the temple compound and the surrounding nature makes it a spectacle in its own right.

We move on to Teluk Kode Harbour, where our captain for the day waits with his trusted motorized vessel for a full day of Gili exploration. Depending on the weather and currents, the decision of which of these three islands with their own, rather unique appeal will be visited first is up to the captain, but rest assured that you will see them all.

The largest of the three is Gili Trawangan (universally known as Gili T) with a more cosmopolitan vibe flowing around. With plenty of restaurants, bars and accommodation, it is a popular hang-out spot for those seeking a place for entertainment.

Gili Air has the most local character and is often the hideaway for rest seekers as where Gili Meno is simply everything you want a bounty island to be.

On all of these three white/green pearls, you will have the chance to see the world below the ocean’s surface (snorkelling only) or lounge the day away under the palm trees. We only want to highlight that these islands have gained an international name and fame for their excellent snorkelling possibilities. Just go out there and indulge in what’s a true paradise for underwater lovers.

We leave these minuscule pieces of paradise behind us in the afternoon as we make our way back by boat and car to your Lombok resort, where we expect to arrive at around 5 pm.

• Due to the absence of ATM machines and credit cards payment portals, particularly on islands and inside nature reserves, we highly recommend to bring sufficient cash with you
• During this tour, we will enter religious sites where a dress code may be applicable. Please dress respectfully by wearing clothing that cover the knees and shoulders, avoid wearing clothing with bright, fluorescent colours of any kind, obscene prints or pictures, beach wear or strapless sandals / flip flops. Failure to comply may result in denying access into these sites
• Natural elements of any kind have a destructive effect on electronic equipment. It is the customer’s own responsibility to ensure that any camera, mobile telephone or other device is properly wrapped and protected against these elements. We cannot be held responsible in any way for negligence and/or not following suggestions for any damage related to this
• Please ensure that you bring sunglasses, a hat /cap and sunblock with a high SPF factor when traveling with us on this tour – even when it is cloudy, the sunrays still have an immense power
• We reserve the right to make necessary changes to the excursion in case of unfavourable weather conditions or situations where we are forced to make alterations to guarantee the safety of our guests
• The protection of the country’s flora and fauna is of immense importance for us. We will not pursue any activities for guests that are not in line with our animal, wildlife and environment protection principles
• It is the responsibility of the customer to provide us with the correct hotel information, should pick-up and drop-off services be included in the package. Any changes in accommodation outside 24 hours will be handled accordingly: changes within 24 hours may be on request
• In the event of no-show or change of accommodation without prior consent and confirmation from us within 24 hours may result in the applicable cancellation charges as outlined in the terms and conditions
