Very poorly organized. Waited at stop 25. Bus arrived full. Walked to stop 24 there were two empty busses. Crowds of people waiting for over 15 minutes. Other hop on hop off tours seemed better organized.

The whole bus experience was pretty good. There are quite a lot of things out of their control with road diversions etc. Thought the man selling the tickets could explain things a bit better. I had to drag information out of him, he was mainly interested in seeing the colour of our money after that care factor ..zero. The walking tours was the highlight of the whole experience if you miss these you will have missed the best part of the whole package. Our guide was Julia and she did a fantastic job. It is a shame that there isn't a guide on the bus to do live commentary as the pre-recorded is repetitive and uninformative. The boys on the ferry trip did a good job.

My husband and I have bought Big Bus tickets in several cities, including Las Vegas and Washington DC, and we sought out the company in London because of our wonderful past experiences with them. Alas! This experience was not at the same level as our previous tours, and we left feeling a bit regretful. This should really be divided up into two parts: The Thames River cruise, which was WONDERFUL, and the bus ride, which was not. The river cruise was expertly navigated by the captain and wonderfully narrated by a member of the crew, who was knowledgeable and funny. I'm glad we took the cruise first, because it was truly a highlight! The cruise let off at the Tower of London, at which point we decided to hop on one of the buses. The on-the-ground crew there at the tower was great -- funny, friendly, helpful, and got us organized in a line to await our next bus. A+ to them! It was when we got on a bus that things went a bit south. We were expecting a live tour guide, as we'd enjoyed in past experiences with Big Bus, but unfortunately all we had was a minimally narrated recording. We had planned on taking the bus throughout the entire route, but got off halfway through and walked around London instead, using our guidebook for information. In short: We would have been better off buying a cruise ticket standalone and using the Tube for "hop on, hop off" service! It pains me to give a so-so review, but there you have it. The only reason I've given it a three out of five is for the cruise and the grounds crew!

Tell me how to avoid London traffic in the heat and all issues will be solved. Unfortunately we spent 20 minutes just to make a left turn at Westminster Bridge and an additional 15 to get through 3 traffic signals. In short the ride and commentary were boring. Not so for the cruise. The commentary was pithy. My advice is to forget theBus and sign up for any number cruises on the Thames
