When purchasing the tickets you are not told that you will have a giant obstruction in your way. We sat under the balcony in the very back. I paid a bit more then I wanted to but thought these were good seats as there were no warnings. Unfortunately the overhang obstructed the view of the stage. I am quite tall so it was a bit more obvious for me. Wish I would have had more warning.

Went with family to this fantastic production; in the beautiful historic, Theatre Royal. Our family group were seated in the balcony; there were booster cushions provided for the smaller members of our party, which gave them a perfect view of the stage. I think I am one of the very few people who hasn’t seen the Disney movie, I was not disappointed. The cast; singing, stage sets and special effects were great. The ‘Let it go’ song and the dress change was brilliant and enjoyed by all. A great, enjoyable show for the whole family to enjoy.

If you’re an adult looking for a Christmassy movie with fabulous special effects, you’ll probably enjoy this. If you’re a parent who loved the movie and is taking young children to see this, you may be sad disappointed, and uncomfortable. An innocent story of female bonding and female empowerment has been turned into something quite different. Why are there lyrics about drinking alcohol being good? Why have classic songs been dropped but horrible new songs added, for example Elsa singing with self-loathing “I’m a monster” (I don’t remember self hate in the film?) and worse, a load of random people in nude coloured bodysuits spanking each other with twigs? When my child asked what they were doing to each other I did not know what to say. In my opinion this was a horrible and misogynistic sexualised adaptation of a great children’s story. :(
