What Can You Expect?

Heathrow Express runs between London Paddington Station and Heathrow Airport. The train can be boarded at Heathrow Terminal 5, Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 and London Paddington Station. Passengers can find the exact platform on the information display boards at their point of departure. Trains depart approximately every 15 minutes.

Travel time between Heathrow Terminal 5 and London Paddington is 21 minutes.
Travel time between Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 and London Paddington is 15 minutes. If travelling to or from Heathrow Terminal 4, please allow extra time for boarding the free transfer service between this terminal and the Heathrow Express stop Terminals 2 & 3.

Ticket options are available for travel in both directions and travelers can board or disembark at any station. Single tickets and the outbound trip of return tickets are valid at any time on booked date of travel. The inbound trip of return tickets is valid on any day within 1 month of outbound trip.

    .waste of money to save 5 minutes of time. get the elizabeth line instead. they say 15 minutes. it's closer to 25 minutes as the train always goes slow through ealing. save 10 pounds and use the elizabeth line instead. just 5 minutes slower and it stops at terminal 4. the funny thing is that you have to change on to the elizabeth line at heathrow to go to terminal 4 which negates the time saving as you might as well have taken the Elizabeth line directly from Paddington. Same applies on the other direction.

    While the airport is very easy to navigate, pay attention to the different signs and determine your best mode of transportation. I am going to highly suggest the Heathrow Express, this is the second time I have used it, and this time alone, it’s very simple. You will see sales attendants as you exit baggage claim and near the ATM (get some cash while you can) and if you know you are returning via train, get both tickets and save a few dollars. The train is a 15 minute ride into London and stops at Paddington Station, you pick it up at the same location on your return. Where I was located in Hyde Park, was a 45 min-1 hour ride to the airport depending on the traffic, this takes 15 minutes! I didn’t use the tube anywhere else, I didn’t need to, taxis were everywhere and the ride was about 5 bucks to wherever I was going for the day. So don’t hesitate, roll that luggage out of the terminal and follow the signs to the elevator outside of terminal 3 and head on down to the train station, hop on and enjoy! Nyri

    They should stop advertising as ‘15 minutes to Central London’. The service is almost always delayed. Just had another bad experience: broken down train, next one departed 25 minutes later. Unacceptable when one has a flight to catch. Besides the carriage floor is dirty wi the food crumbs and crisps.

    Useless clowns. How they charge money for this service is beyond me. Trains cancelled everywhere because they're not full enough, or the driver doesn't fancy it. No apology, no compensation.
