Enjoy the wide sandy beach, or wander through the thatched cottages in the old town at Shanklin, and take time to get some lunch.

Spend time on the wide sandy beach or explore the gift shops.

Stop At: Osborne House, York Ave, East Cowes PO32 6JX England

Osborne House was the summer palace of Queen Victoria where she spent time with her favourite private secretary, Adbul Karim.

Really enjoyed the trip, from the ferry crossing, to Osbourne House and the beach at Shanklin, however found the trip to Godshill a bit boring. Thought the driver was incredibly knowledgeable and managed to be entertaining during the long coach journeys.

Osborne House was really interesting to visit as well as the gardens. We also had lunch in Shanklin and spent some time at the beach which the children liked the most. Godshill village was also lovely and we took lots of pictures of all these beautiful places. The guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Overall, it was a great experience! Great day out, as I don't drive and working this routing on public transport seemed a bit difficult with all the choice. This orientation trip was really good in this respect. On top of that to have such a wealth of information sharing from the guide Brendan, really learned us about the location. Timings were impeccable. Osborne House is gorgeous, fresh air on the beach town pier/promenade and then picturesque Godshill village with it's artisan barn. Really enjoyed this trip out the country.
