You “schedule” a time with your standard ticket. That is the time you are permitted to line up- you cannot enter or be close to the entrance as they will turn you away. I was 15 minutes early and was sent away. I was in excited about the views but it was disappointing. Lovely facilities and staff- line moved along ( maybe 30 minutes at most) but for the price- just not worth it. I was there on a clear day.

Visited with my family and four grandchildren ten of us, we were put straight in a pod as the children are quite young, so a thanks to the staff. Absolutely brilliant views and what an experience.

The experience is one to remember! If you’re not afraid to rise high for an incredible view of London, you can’t miss visiting the London Eye. Waiting in line is similar to waiting to get on an amusement park ride. Security is similar to boarding a flight, but that is quite all right because it fosters safety and the view is well worth it.

I have visited the London eye a few times these past years. Iconic views but the tickets are quite exorbitant for an observation wheel( no option for family tickets which is surprising), and options for discounted tickets are limited. More than 20 people being stuffed in a capsule doesn't provide much opportunity to ( peacefully) enjoy the views as you'd have to jostle with others to manage a few decent family photographs. The facilities (WCs) were dirty and of inadequate size based on the footfall.

We booked the day before and the prices fluctuate for all the times. We selected the cheapest time and arrived twenty minutes early. It's a London must do but it's expensive and over far too quick and your not made to feel special
