Pocahontas stayed in London only for one year and died at the age of 20. During her short life, she managed to introduce the New World to the London audience.

Pocahontas was a Native American woman born around 1595. She was the daughter of the powerful Chief Powhatan, the ruler of the Powhatan tribal nation. She later married British colonist, John Rolfe and travelled to London in 1616. Meet your guide in front of the Tower Hill tube station. Walk towards Tower of London, one of the most iconic castles in the World and hear stories about prisoner Henry Percy, 9th Earl of Northumberland or ‘ Wizard Earl’, whom Pocahontas visited during her stay in London. His nickname, the Wizard Earl, reflected his love of science, experiments, and all-round tinkering. Hear great stories about London’s oldest Palace and think how some people managed to escape from the Tower’s prison.
