I have fond memories of visiting Madame Tussards as a child and had been wanting to go back for years. I finally got my chance! Obviously, I expected the wax works to have changed, but what I didn't expect was the scarce representation of all areas of "celebrity". The timed ticket entry organisation was excellent. Many tourist attractions will let you in at any time, even with a timed entry ticket, but this was not the case at Madame Tussards. We visited during the Easter school holidays, which is a typically busy time but I believe that as a result of a strict policy on timed entry, this avoided the over crowding inside the attraction. Staff were friendly, and I couldn't fault the cleanliness. Whilst the wax works are undeniably good, many of them are quite old representations of the individuals and could do with being updated. The Star Wars and Marvel sections were fun and there was understandably a lot of interest in the scenes they had created as a backdrop. Once I had reached the exit/shop, I felt like I must have missed a huge chunk of the attraction as I thought there would have been more to see. I don't think I did miss anything but perhaps someone will tell me otherwise. Very few sports people were represented, and the ones that were were randomly dotted around the place. If they can have dedicated space for Star Wars, Marvel and fashion, why not sport? The UK has produced some amazing sports people, as has the world. I am pretty sure I didn't see any female sports people represented, but again, hope I am wrong. There was also a lack of focus on science. David Attenborough was there but what about Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking, or even Brian Cox for someone current. All of these people have impact, and all stem from the UK too. Lastly, I felt that there could have been more attention on music. Big names like Adele, Elton John, Mick Jagger/Rolling Stones, and Robbie Williams/Take That were missing. Another small point is that not all wax works had a plaque to say who they were, which made some it a little boring. The location of the plaques that are in place are usually right behind the wax work, which means that if you're reading it, you are annoying the people waiting to take a picture. My memory tells me that Madame Tussards used to have far more wax works inside, and whilst there's more room to move inside now, it's at the expense of the main attraction. I don't expect wax works to be updated every time someone has a style change, but some of the wax works there are absolutely due an update, or should really be removed. Overall, I'm glad I went to tick it off the list, but do not believe it was good value for money.

Fantastic! So much more fun than expected. Did not know you could interact & take photos with the “celebrities!” Great fun for the whole family. Go in the morning before the crowds. Teenagers were very impressed!!

Took my 11 year old which was her first time. We booked the 9am entry as from previous experience the earlier you can get in the better. We arrived about 15 minutes before and joined the growing queue but we were in very quickly. Being the first group in meant that we didn't need to wait to have photos taken with the wax works. I remember a visit years ago and walking in and seeing so many people, it was hard to move around, let alone get close to the models. It was great to get up close and not feel pushed around. We were round on just over an hour, that included the ride and 4d cinema. I booked using National Rail 241 tickets and I'm glad I didn't pay full price for the amount of time spent in there. I don't think I'll be rushing back.
