Overview

The Cotswolds are like stepping into a landscape painting. Vivid green colours, lush waterways and the most delightful cottages. And Oxford needs no introduction. The city of students, spires and sumptuous cathedrals is as inspirational as it is fascinating. Join this 10-hour, small-group tour and experience two of England’s most deservedly-famous locations. Transportation between attractions is included. Food and drinks can be purchased along the way.

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Oxford, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England

Your first stop is Oxford, where you have time to explore the precincts of the many colleges, climb one of the vantage points to take in the skyline, or see the art and antiquities collections in the Ashmolean Museum. The choice is yours.

This route may be reversed on some occasions.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Burford, Burford, Cotswolds, England

Our next stop is in Burford, the ‘Gateway to the Cotswolds’. It’s a small market town with enormous character and a huge history. The main street is lined with gorgeously quaint cottages and properties. You have time here to take in the local charm and hospitality; and if you’re hungry, you can try a traditional English ‘Afternoon Tea’.

This route may be reversed on some occasions.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Bibury, Bibury, Cotswolds, England

Finally, you make the short journey to Bibury, described by William Morris as the prettiest village in England, and the place that Henry T Ford wished to dismantle and ship back to the USA.

Here we have time to stroll past the famous and fairytale-like Arlington Row. After a full day exploring the city of Oxford and the villages of the Cotswolds we’ll embark on the comfortable return journey to London.

This route may be reversed on some occasions.

Barry was a wonderful tour guide/driver. He was very personable and offered good suggestions. Burford and Bibury were marvelous Cotswolds villages, and the architecture and history in Oxford was amazing. Had a most enjoyable time! The smaller group tour was much more to my liking. Already booked a Rabbies tour in Edinburgh later this week.

We really enjoyed our tour to the English countryside! Great day leaving the city and seeing the gorgeous sights of the small towns. They are so pretty! And Oxford was so beautiful to visit, we had a good amount of time to explore! Our guide Damian did a great job as well!
