Visit the original WW1 era factory and see original planes such as the Sopwith Camel

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Royal Air Force Museum London, Grahame Park Way, London NW9 5LL England

We will learn about the early pioneers of aviation before visiting hangers and exhibitions based upon broad themes including the first 100 years of the RAF. WW1, WW2 and later conflicts before looking to the future of the RAF and military aviation.

See Spitfires, Hurricanes, Lancasters, Vulcans, Typhoons, Meschersmitts, Stukas, Mustangs, F35s, and over 100 other types of aircraft. (some aircraft are sometimes removed for maintenance).

Took my grandson to see this iconic museum.The display of aircraft is amazing, you get a real feeling for how small and flimsy the early craft were. The only disappointment was the behaviour of some very young children running riot ( literally ). They had no interest in the displays only in the play area and running around unsupervised by parents. Making an entry fee would surely stop this? Still a great day out. No complaints about the parking, food and the gift shop.

Absolutely amazing place to keep you and your friends and family entertained for hours At first I thought it was a small museum but when I walked in there were many different hangars with different activities and aviation to view They also have a restaurant which serves food following the aesthetic such as the spitfire wings. Highly recommend to anyone of all ages, there is also a park for the young.

Quite enjoyed the museum, even if it’s a bit out of the way. Guides are knowledgeable, staff are nice. Food could use a bit of work, but it’s a museum not a food court.

I recently took a friend from the US to the RAF Museum as we hadn't been for many years and opted for a private tour. Well worth the money as you get a very detailed talk as well as some fantastic insights. There have been many changes since I last visited including opening up of the Sunderland Flying boat and the recovered Halifax bomber. Well worth a visit.
