Overview

Your guide James Hart has been conducting tours for more than two decades. As a London “Blue Badge” tourist guide he has a great depth knowledge of the Tower of London and will provide you with plenty of stories about its famous residents and its bloodthirsty history. You will enter the towers and rooms of the medieval palace and the formidable White Tower to see King Henry the Eighth’s armour and weaponry. You will walk through the rooms used to hold prisoners and visit the private execution site. You will see the dazzling Crown Jewels and the spectacular Regalia used in the coronations of Kings and Queens for centuries. You will see the resident Yeoman Warders (or “beefeaters”) and the famous ravens who also live here.

Unique to this tour is an opportunity to upgrade with a Crown Jewels Afternoon Tea at the Four Seasons Hotel. A luxurious selection of sandwiches, pastries, scones, fine teas and champagne inspired by the treasures of the Hotel’s historic Royal neighbour.

James was the most amazing tour guide, his story telling of the history of the Tower of London was so engaging, he is so very knowledgeable about the tower and so much more plus he is quite the local celebrity. We discovered a whole lot more about the Tower of London from James than we had ever expected. It was one of the best experiences we had in our trip to London. Excellent tour! The guide was very nice, knowledgeable and approachable. He was extremely informative which really added to our enjoyment! He also pointed out things that we would have missed, like the password hand and one of the Cullinan diamonds. I really recommend this tour!
