Within the ancient Fortress, the Tower of London, visitors can gaze up at the imposing White Tower and marvel at the priceless Crown Jewels.

Hear bloody tales of the Tower told by the Yeoman Warders; stand where famous heads rolled and discover where prisoners and exotic animals including a polar bear were kept. Tours start every 30 minutes from the Middle Tower and are included in admission.

  • Jewel House Update 28 April 2023 - Ahead of the Coronation, a number of items have been removed from the Jewel House in order to be prepared for the Service at Westminster Abbey on 6th May. The working Coronation Regalia, including St Edward’s Crown, the Imperial State Crown, the Sceptres, the orb, and a range of other items used during the Coronation are therefore not on display in the Jewel House this week, in preparation for the Coronation Service. Many of the Processional objects used are also no longer on display, as well as Queen Mary’s Crown, whilst they are prepared for the Coronation Service.

Definitely worth a visit if you're a history buff and want to see historical parts of London. You can easily spend hours here seeing everything and going on tours. Queens Anne Boylen, Katherine Howard, and Lady Jane Grey are all buried here, so it was quite sobering. Spent some time reflecting on the sad history of the place. So much has happened here historically- the main tower is over 1000 years old. The crown jewels were interesting to see. Several restaurants and gift shops onsite too so you can definitely make a day out of it and not have to leave the premises. Shoutout to our Beefeater tour guide. I don't remember his name, just that he had served for 33 years (?) before becoming a Beefeater and was energetic and humourous. Very kind when giving directions too.

This was great. I went with my 12 year old son and we spent about 3.5 hours including a lunch break. The Crown Jewel experience is amazing — dim lights, respectful music, so many gigantic stones in those heavy crowns. My son liked all the armor and weapons more…save room for the interactive section of that area. We both learned a lot, first with the Beefeater tour guide and then also after we peeled off. The cafe was really delicious and a beautiful room. Be aware there is a lot of walking and stair climbing! Oh and it was fun to meet the ravens!

Great experience. The 13:30 roar on the 5th of December was very informative and a great host. The staff were friendly. The cafe on site was great. The accessibility was good, there were benches to rest and seating. A few areas with stairs but so much to see without having many stairs. I would go again! The chapel and Crown Jewels were a beautiful site.

Having never been to the Tower of London but have been watching the the TV series we went with open minds to see how the English heritage has grown. Some great history lessons and information provided, you can either follow the Yeomen Warders around and listen to them tell their many tales, or simply experience the history all by yourself. We enjoyed wandering around and exploring.
