This was a great tour- we happened to be there when several artists were painting new pieces for an upcoming festival, so had the chance to talk to them about their work. Outside of that, we got a good feel for the city and the art that decorated it
Great tour to get to know lavapies and get a feel for the local art and issues. It’s nice that it’s in the morning, as the area is less crowded and you have a clear view of the art!
Great tour with a local street artist, who grew up in the Lavapies neighborhood and still has strong ties to the community. He knows his way around in „his“ barrio and shares a lot of insider information about his art work as well as of other artists he knows personally. Get ready for a wall full of cool pieces and great fun in Lavapies.
Thank you to the guides for the street art tour of Lavapiés on Thursday. Excellent way to explore this neighbourhood. Guides were fantastic in sharing their knowledge of the artists, their concepts and some local creative initiatives. Next time I’m back in Madrid I will definitely do another one of their tours. Highly recommend.
Really cool opportunity to see a neighborhood we might not have seen otherwise. Our guide was new but we still loved seeing the neighborhood and getting to try spray painting ourselves!
