Overview

L'Isle sur la Sorgue, an ancient town surrounded by a moat of flowing water, dates from the 12th century when fishermen built huts on stilts above what was then a marsh. By the 18th century, canals lined with 70 giant wheels powered silk factories & paper mills, you'll see them as you walk around the town. Today L’Isle is the Venice of Provence, home to antiques villages housing over 300 dealers - a really great way to begin exploring the Vaucluse. Next Fontaine de Vaucluse where the largest natural spring in Europe wells up outside the village creates a fast flowing river running through the village dotted riverside cafés & shops. Next visit to Avignon with an impressive legacy of ecclesiastical architecture, most notably World Heritage listed Palais des Papes that includes an array of impressive renaissance frescos. In Avignon, we include a visit to the Pont d'Avignon, but not the Palais des Papes.

Friendly, knowledgeable and so easy to work with, Ooh Provence is such an amazing tour company. From the beginning to the end, everything was seamless. I can say that because I had been in contact with a different company and I immediately noticed a difference. Ooh Provence has so many tours to choose from… we loved everything we saw and cannot wait to go back and explore more! If you are looking for the guys to take you around beautiful Provence, look no further. We Missed having Laurent around for the remainder of our trip! Thank you Christopher and Laurent!

They should wear Superman capes because Christopher came in and saved the day, two actually. When I was in a bind about how to fill the 3 days I had reserved in Aix for the 6 of us I was so fortunate to have found Christopher. He put together a custom tour schedule that included everything I was hoping to see and would have been impossible without help. Chris and his partner Lauren provided the highest level of customer service from the very beginning. Chris was responsive to every question and ready to solve any issues. we had a train cancel and I was worried about how we were going to get to Aix. It was NYE and Chris was working hard and helping me solve the problem. He took photos of us with his equipment and sent them to us. He and Lauren were punctual, reliable and provided comfortable, safe rides. He and Lauren were extremely knowledgeable about all the beautiful areas we visited. they chose great restaurants and gave suggestions on where to find specific items. They had a firm grasp of all the areas we visited. When we had an issue with the new vehicle they had rented to accommodate our group, they got us back safe and sound then worked until late to secure another large vehicle for the next day. During my initial communications with Chris, I thought the prices quoted were a little high, but after the experience he and Lauren provided, it was worth every penny. they really went above and beyond and I wouldn't hesitate to book with them again. I highly recommend Christopher and Lauren as tour guides and tour creators. They're not just great guides, they're wonderful people who really care about delivering memorable, wonderful experiences!
