Hello !

I'm Captain Vic, originally from the south of France and a 10 year resident of Mauritius.

IGFA (International Game Fish Association) Captain/Guide.

Born into a fishermen family, I learned fishing very young with my father, godfather and grand father in the Mediterranean Sea catching the big Bluefin Tuna.

After my studies, I left France to fish at different places and see different techniques, including New Zealand, Australia and Mauritius.

After visiting Mauritius, I decided to stay here, in this beautiful island, because it's one of the best places in the world for THE BLUE MARLIN.

I like to share my passion with people from all over the world and I will give you the best advice to catch Marlin, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo and more...

What Can You Expect?

Itinerary

Mauritius is among the most prized destinations for Big Game Fishing in the world, with many fishing Records, including the largest Blue Marlin caught on 80lbs test line.

Located in the heart of the Indian Ocean, large predators like Marlin, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo and more species are present all the year.

On our Big Game Fishing trip, we are mainly looking for fish like Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Yellow Fin Tuna, Wahoo and Dorado.

We principally troll with artificial lures at high speed and fresh bait like small Tuna as livebait or deadbait.

We are located in the best place for fishing on the west coast of the island between Port Louis and le Morne Brabant.

Every year, grander (blue marlin more than 1000lbs) are caught in Mauritius.

    It was amazing trip with the crew and cap Viktor. If you want to catch Blue Marlin that's the guys you go with, they will make sure that your experience is at the highest level. I went 4 days and we caught 3 Marlin. If you book make sure it's min 8 hours.

    I chartered Captain Victor’s boat the Golden Wave on 23rd December 2023 and was not disappointed. I had an 8 hour fishing day and managed to catch a 200lb Blue Marlin ! Captain Vic and his crew were absolutely superb providing me with food and drink on the day and making me feel at home on board.They worked tirelessly to help me catch what was a fish of a lifetime and the crew were very helpful and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to recommend Captain Vic if you want the chance of catching great game fish on a very modern boat with quality tackle. Thanks again guys I will be back.
