What Can You Expect?

Choose between the 1hr beach or sunset ride at Riambel.
The ride out on the beach is unique as the rider will find himself on a 2.5km desert beach (Pomponnette Beach). Imagine…A horse, a long stretch of beach and the sea.
Ride out on the beach while enjoying the sunset. For the romantics!

What a brilliant experience and highly recommended! The location is set back from the main road on very bumpy roads, but once we found it, we were well looked after by Steve and his team. Steve spent time understanding our horse riding experience to match us with the right horse. The horses are retired race horses, and all are looked after really well. We were taken out onto Riambel beach, which was really quiet. You have a guide with you all the time, which was reassuring, although the horses behaved perfectly. This was a great trip and worth every penny.

Me and my partner went here for a ride on the beach as well as a swim with the horses. It was a relaxing and amazing experience. The horses where nice, calm and behaving, and everyone was taking care of us and gave clear and good information. We where super happy we added this experience to our holiday.

Beware..Not suitable for children. Last week we booked our daughter for a beach pony ride at this establishment. She's eight and has has riden for four years, however... She was given no opportunity to walk the pony in the sand school, instead the pony had to be supervised with a groom. There was limited safety equipment provided for children, no body protector for example. The pony was constantly pulling, twisting, refusing to settled. After a five minute walk across a road to the beach matters did not improve. The groom had to hang onto the pony, a breaking wave caused the animal to spook and lunge away from the water. My daughter was rightly scared by this stage and we asked the groom to stop so she could dismount. We ended the ride after no more than a few hundred yards. We were lucky, my daughter escaped unharmed, it could have been so much worse.
