Unlike the typical volcanic features, Trou aux Cerfs’ crater is surrounded by a vast area of lush forest consisting of indigenous plant species and some giant green pine trees. It is believed that the Trou aux Cerfs erupted once and has remained dormant for the last 700 000 years; experts believe that there is a potential chance for it to become active again.

Definitely, one of the main highlights is the 360-degree view of the town, Curepipe & the majestic view of Rempart Mountain, Trois Mamelles, and the Port-Louis- Moka mountain range.

These colored sands are SOOOO OVERATED!!! Every photo what you see is photoshoped and boosted with saturation. In real life there are no vivid colors there :D :D That is so funny. And every tourist that comes there do the same - edit photo with color grading and after that it looks like wow to others. :D

Really poor experience. We didn’t do more than half the stuff on the itinerary without explanation, no refund offered. There was no Black River Gorges, no Alexandria Falls, no tea factory, no grand basin, no Valle des coulers or Rhumerie de Saint Aubin. What’s more, the park we did go to, we had to spend an additional £240 as it is only traversable by Quad Bike. Very disappointed customer.

Our driver was 20 minutes early rather than late, so it started off very well. The first two sites we were taken were all about spending a lot of money (don’t buy the rum there, you can get it for a third of the price in the supermarket). We didn’t. We like to buy the things we chose to buy when we feel like buying it and not the products that some persuasive lady is trying to sell us. But the next attractions were very good. The craters, the holy lake and temple, the rum factory… all worth it. The restaurant was very good too. Busy, but the food was delicious. And the car, brand new. The only thing was that we were late coming back, because we spent too long trying to refuse the sales women in the morning. But Mevin, our friendly and helpful driver didn’t say we cannot see the last attraction, instead he was late from the temple from the Friday night prayers. Thank you. It was much appreciated. 🙂 We would recommend him if you are thinking about a similar day tour.

Did not refund me fully even tho half the places where closed , for the price it was very lackluster, rather do the tour yourself, communication between driver and actuall organiser is terrible.

The trip was excellent we certainly crammed a lot into 8 hours. You need 8 hours as the whole population above 16 seem to have 2 or 4 wheels and all go out at once. Grit your teeth it’s worth the ride. everything on the list is done. The distillery was very interesting and views from the mountains were stunning. Our driver was great as he knew every short cut and back road around the traffic.
