So over hyped. Wouldn't bother. It's so small in there. Basically sitting in a cool room blasting cold air with not that much ice sculptures. The drinks aren't anything to rave home about. 45 dollars per person for 45 mins it's so boring left after 20. Not allowed take pictures in there so took ones in there on cameras provided and they didn't even work the "camera was foggy".
I liked wearing My fluffy Russian hat, so I could see to get around. the ice sculptures were very good and fun to sit on. Cocktail and shots were delicious We enjoyed the whole winter concept on a 🥵day in Melbourne. Even though we are sunny Queenslanders.
Something completely different. Great concept with the games set up. Bartender was a lot of fun! Yummy cocktails! Great experience to tick off our bucket list!
My family (including pre teen children) visited the Ice Bar and it was great. Kids have been raving about it ever since. The staff were so friendly. I believe it was Jack & Indi (or India?) on service inside & Franz on the desk? (I could have the names wrong) But they were all great with their customer service, with a special shout out to Jack & Indi behind the bar. They were having great fun with all the guests and really making sure everyone enjoyed themselves - they certainly were! My young daughter accidentally knocked over her drink seconds after getting it and it was cleaned up & another one provided instantly without us having to pay again, which was greatly appreciated. It was a great way to spend half an hour (that was enough for the kids due to the cold), hubby and I could have lasted the full 45 minutes. The cocktails & mocktails were yummy too . It's a shame you can't take your own photos, but it's not a deal breaker. Even if you don't pay for the ones they take, you still have the memories. Take a photo outside if you need a reminder that you went....!
Melbourne's Ice Bar was easy to find and central to the city. The bar area itself is awesome, there are games you can play, props to use for photos. The cocktails and shots are very nice and the staff friendly and helpful. You can't take your own photos inside but there are three cameras set up for pics at your convenience at different spots in the room. There is no pressure to purchase these but if you do they are $12 and downloaded from the website very easily. Appropriate attire (jacket and gloves) are provided. And yes it is cold inside so be prepared but it's not uncomfortable. We had lots of fun and I'd highly recommend this activity.
