This is a trip you can't organize yourself so it is money well spent. Bernina doesn't need explanation. Such a great experience itself. Coaches are guaranteed panaromic so no hesitation during booking. If you are solo traveler there is a chance you can't get a window seat but doesn't really matter. Our guide "Paula" was just spectacular. Such great personality. She organized the crowd all well despite people who doesnt understand english or italian who were hard to control and can be frustrating to manage in a big crowd. All the bus and train seats were very well managed by her despite no reserved seat. She explained everything clear and precise. Our bus driver was also great. Bus journey was relax despite the curves during climb up yo St Moritz Tips: It is a very long day (13 hours) so try to rest day before Have water for bus as no water service Have sandvich/snack if you are picky with food. Drink less on the way back as journey back is non-stop !!

Monica was absolutely fantastic! A long yet fulfilling day with so much to see and experience. We met at the bus stop pickup and drop off station. My husband and I were comfortable on the bus trip to and from. We started our journey around 9:30am and made a pit stop at 11AM where we had 20min. To use the restroom, grab coffee/ breakfast/ water if you wanted and promptly got back onto the bus at 11:20am to continue our journey. The bus driver was an incredible driver and scenic route was nothing but amazing. We got dropped off at St. Moritz where Monica gave us a few recommendations and gave us a quick guided tour through the town. We had about 2hrs. Of free time to grab lunch/ explore/ etc. We did visit on a Sunday and most restaurants were closing for lunch by 2PM but we found a great local spot that accommodated us and perfect for lunch (Tapas style) at Scala Restaurant. Absolutely delicious! We then continued to explore and take photos until we had to meet at our meeting point shown by Monica at 4PM sharp. to board the Bernina Express. This was such a cool experience, where you were guaranteed a Panoramic view of the Alps all the way to Tirano, Italy which was the last stop and where the bus met us at around 7pm. This was truly a one of a kind experience with incredible views and the best way to visit the Alps. We got onto the bus and arrived back in Milan (to our pickup/drop off location around 9:45pm. It was a long day but a truly great tour overall. Thank you Monica for your guidance and a wonderful day!

Cons - Directions for pick up were not very informative. Pleased we did a trial run the day before as we were traveling over an hour away. On the actual train each party is not allocated a table. We are a family of 4 & were expected to separate & fill up odd seats. Pros- The guide was informative & helpful. The trip was nice. The train journey through the Alps was nice.

Tour guide, Monica was wonderful. Her English and explanations were good. The bus driver was excellent. The bus had a no eating or drinking rule that was ignored by some. There was no restroom on board. The Communication of meeting point was terrible. The meeting point could have been further out of the city to avoid the chaos and traffic. There were other tour companies/buses on Repubblica piazza and no one understood or knew where our bus was. A majority of the tour is spent on the bus. Babies screaming, loud music from other customers. Warnings should have been given. A majority of the time you could not hear the tour guide as customers ignored her and talked over her. THERE SHOULD BE ASSIGNED SEATS ON THE PANORAMIC TRAIN. Several people from the same party took all of the window seats leaving couples to split up. Toddlers took up window seats. TOO MUCH MONEY FOR A HUSBAND AND WIFE TO NOT BE ABLE TO SIT NEXT TO EACH OTHER. The town is nice, just to wander around and have lunch/snack and take pictures. The train and scenery is nice, but the bus ride was brutal. I would have done this tour on my own, had I known all of the issues.

A very full day. One route up to St Moritz and then the train takes a different route back. Picturesque and we were glad we made the trip. Panoramic train was lovely. Sadly the weather wasn't great so we didn't benefit from the beautiful scenery. Still a good, if long, day.
