This is a museum of History of Vodka. There is an exhibition telling when this drink appeared in Russia, and how it became a part of our cultural heritage (or not :) ). Optionally you can try a shot of vodka and medovukha (honey drink) for additional price.

Izmailovo Kremlin is a fantasy of Russian artists. It was created not long time ago, in 2000s. But the area itself was a royal residence for many years. Here we will find a flea market area with lots of Soviet and pre-revolutionary items, and a souvenirs area to buy presents.
Optionally we can have a coffee break or a lunch at one of the cafes there (not traditional, Indian or Caucasian food).
During low season some stores can be closed, but the area is still interesting to see!

We booked a tour to Ismailovskoy with Spasibo tours through La Vacanza Travel. Our guide Katya was great fun to be with and guided us through the subway system to the park and the Vodka museum. Ismailovkskoy kremlin is what the Moscow kremlin would look like if the designers were on acid. Everywhere you look, there are creative building designs that make you smile. On Saturday, we witnessed two weddings in the 2+ hours we were there. There was great shopping for souvenirs at much lower prices than Moscow. It's nice to have some variety and get away from institutions, museums and lectures to have some fun!

Our Tour Guide, Katya, was very helpful. She made shopping at Izmailovo Market fun. She was our translator and she helped us bargain with the vendors. The place really looked like it was made out of a Fairy Tale. Thanks for being there to take our photos.

A good little quick three hour tour. The vodka museum isn't that big and can done in a half hour at most. It's just two little rooms - one of the history of vodka and the other a collection of bottles from around the world. The real value of the tour was our guide's ability to get us a good deal on some of the market items. Even though she wasn't into haggling, she still got us a good deal or two.
Just remember it's a three hour tour, so shop quick if you're not comfortable getting home by yourself.

We had a lovely afternoon with Katia! She shared so much about Moscow with us. Her English is superb and she made dinner reservations for us at an incredible restaurant for dinner! The vodka museum is not super exciting but the location is gorgeous. We wished we had a little more time for market shopping. Very fun tour! Thank you!
