a very convenient way to see the highlights of Herculaneum : a short drive from central Naples, no need to queue for tickets, and a guided tour of the museum and archaeological site by English-speaking Raphael : Herculaneum attracts fewer tourists than Pompeii but the site is more compact and the buildings better preserved : our tour was conducted at a pleasant pace and we weren’t competing with crowds of people

The tour is too short, 1.5 hours is not enough to visit Herculaneum (Ercolano). The price charged by La Vacanza Travel for such a short activity is too high.

Unfortunately our tour was late leaving Rome due to a no-show. Our tour guide was friendly but because he was accommodating two separate groups simultaneously (English and Spanish) it was difficult to follow. He spoke very quickly and didn’t always give context…the narrative didn’t follow a storyline. He was clearly passionate about the site and how it’s (better) different to Pompeii. The site is worth a visit but I was disappointed with the tour.

Not our day really, collection point was changed twice, it poured with rain for the whole visit and the guide, who worked incredibly hard, had to tell the story in English, Spanish and Italian. The site was fascinating and definitely worth visiting
