It was an amazing 3 days of exploring medieval temples. Some of the temples had sculptures of the famous book kamasutra. The carvings were exquisite. Our guide Anurag was brilliant and made this tour very memorable. I would highly recommend this.

What a fantastic wonder tucked in the interiors of India! It was a magical 3 days as we visited a dozen temples build in incredible architectural style. It is literally the Kamasutra book etched in stone. The arrangements were impeccable with Five Senses tours arranging a clean and safe car, a highly knowledgeable and patient guide and flights. I would highly recommend this tour without hesitation.

Fantastic visit meticulously organized by 5 Senses and our great cultural ambassadors Vivek and Ram Sewak. Every detail of this trip from hotels to transportation and the choice of great local guides, restaurant suggestions, and an uncanny ability to revise our tour when requested to include additional visits to local temples and points of interest was handled at a moments notice with utmost courtesy and efficiency. This turned out to be a “once in a lifetime” tour that I will cherish forever.

5 Senses once again did a great job hosting us, this time in Khajuraho. It was such a pleasure to escape the traffic, noise and pollution of the cities for this amazing rural experience. The 1000-year-old temples are remarkably well-preserved and truly awe inspiring. Our 5 Senses guide Vivek was fantastic and the local guide they found for us was deeply knowledgeable about the history and iconography of this UNESCO World Heritage site. You'll need at least two full days to appreciate the extensive ruins (only one temple is still being used for worship). We were there in February and it wasn't crowded at all. I think Khajuraho will prove to be one of the highlights of our 5.5 week north India tour (all organized by excellent 5 Senses). While in town, skip the hotel restaurant and head to "A Pinch of Salt," a charming restaurant with an extensive menu and better service than in most Indian eateries we've visited (for example, when I asked if any of the chicken dishes could be made only with chicken breast, the waiter immediately understood and assured me that they could make most of the dishes with breast only. Nice!)
