Constructed for the Mughal emperor in the mid-16th century by Haji Begum, Humayun's Persian-born wife, the tomb marries Persian and Mughal elements, with restrained decoration enhancing the architecture. The arched facade is inlaid with bands of white marble and red sandstone, and the building follows strict rules of Islamic geometry, with an emphasis on the number eight.

Qutub Minar (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) - The Qutub Minar that gives the complex its name is an unmissable, soaring Afghan-style victory tower and minaret, erected by sultan Qutb-ud-din in 1193 to proclaim his supremacy over the vanquished Hindu rulers of Qila Rai Pithora.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Lotus Temple, New Delhi, National Capital Territory of Delhi
Designed for tranquil worship, Delhi's beautiful Lotus Temple offers a rare pocket of calm in the hectic city. This architectural masterpiece was designed by Iranian-Canadian architect Fariburz Sahba in 1986. It is shaped like a lotus flower, with 27 delicate-looking white-marble petals. The temple was created to bring faiths together; visitors are invited to pray or meditate silently according to their own beliefs.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: India Gate, New Delhi, National Capital Territory of Delhi
This imposing 42m-high stone memorial arch was designed by Lutyens in 1921. It pays tribute to around 90,000 Indian army soldiers who died in WWI, the Northwest Frontier operations and the 1919 Anglo-Afghan War.

It comprises an extensive palace complex, built from pale yellow and pink sandstone, and white marble, and is divided into four main sections, each with its own courtyard.
Duration: 2 hours

Pass By: Jal Mahal, Jaipur, Jaipur District, Rajasthan
Jal Mahal (Water Palace) - Near the cenotaphs of the maharanis of Jaipur and beautifully situated in the watery expanse of Man Sagar, is this dreamlike palace. It's origins are uncertain, but it was believed to have been extensively restored if not built by Jai Singh II (1734).

Mr D. K. Sharma was our tour driver for the last 3 days and the driving couldn't have been smoother. We arrived everywhere on time and well rested (having fallen asleep in the car a few times!) and he was always ready within a minute or so of us having finished each activity with the local tour guides (who were good at 'worst', fantastic at best so absolutely no complaints there either. A particular shout out to our guide in Jaipur who was extremely knowledgeable and knew where to take all the best photos, which order; and more importantly, at what time to visit things to avoid the queues!).I would definitely recommend the tour to anyone wanting to see a lot in a spare 3 days they are in India without the hassle of having to figure out where to go, what to do, or how to get there. There were of course a couple of stops at Bazaars and 'friendly' rest-stops (2 of which we actually went to at the same time as Christian Bale; who we also spotted again at the Taj Mahal... I don't think that's something to be guaranteed though on this tour usually I'm afraid...) along the way throughout the 3 days where a 'comission' will have been a certainty but this is par for the course. A firm 'no thank-you' was all that was needed if you didn't want to buy anything though and the 'shopping' stop in Agra was actually great as we learnt all about how the stone inlay was done on the Taj Mahal and (having refused anything from the 'main' room as all too big, been shown the back room where all the smaller items were kept, then haggled them down to 50% of the initial price) even bought a couple of bits for us/family!The car was also the cleanest we had been in since the private transfer we booked from the airport to the Shangri-La; so much so I even took off my shoes to rest my feet - If you ever go in an Uber/taxi in Delhi you'd know for sure that isn't something you would do normally...

As a solo female traveler, I felt extremely safe and well taken care of throughout the entirety of this trip. My driver, Mr. K.K. Sharma, and all of the tour guides were knowledgeable about every monument and very respectful. I appreciated that everything was already arranged and that each of my 3 tour guides stayed with me throughout my time in each of the 3 cities. This trip exceeded my expectations! I’m still amazed at everything I was able to fit into a 3 day trip!

The tour was very well planed and the hotels were nice, especially the one in Agra it would be considered a 5 star even in the USA. I really enjoyed myself and as a solo traveler felt safe at all times. Each tour guide is very knowledgeable and has a great personality, even DK the driver is nice. Sunil in Delhi, Mahesh in Agra and Ashok in Jaipur. The only thing I would ask for next time is an alternative for shopping, take people to the local market as a pose to a store meant for tourist.

We were in India in March and booked the 3 day Golden Triangle Tour in Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. The service overall was fanstastic, always punctual at pick up locations, great choice of sites to visit and good suggestions for lunch and shopping. We had the best driver: Bobby. He was safe on the road, very friendly and always lloking out for anything we needed. The two tour guides in Delhi and Agra were very good, well informed, knowledgeable of the country's history, heritage and culture as well as always ready to answer any questions we had on Indian society. They were also very patient, especially during our shopping moments. Unfortunately we didn't make it to Jaipur for health reasons, but even then we had all the support from the driver Bobby especially, but from the company itself as weel. Thank you for showing us beautiful parts of India and for all the friendly support!
