What better way to explore a city than its food! Explore India and its culture and tradition in this amazing food and heritage walk of the glorious city of Old Delhi! You tour will start with your guide picking you up from your hotel and taking you on a metro ride.

After reaching Old Delhi, your first stop will be at Gurudwara Sis Ganj, (Sikh Gurudara with an important historic reference) where you can learn about the community kitchen service!

Begin your food walk with, some sweet jalebis (deep fried sweet dish made by corn flour and sugar syrup) and samosa (fried triangular bread stuffed with potatoes) from a 100 year old shop. Walk ahead with your guide to try Raj Kachori (kind of chat filled with fresh yogurt, sweet and sour sauces in a crispy edible bowl!)

Once you’re done here, get ready to stuff some gorgeous paranthas (Indian flatbread filled with a variety of stuffing’s like cheese, cashews, chilli, and lemon to name a few!), Kulia ki chaat (different fruit bowls filled with chickpeas and masala) and a very unique fruit sandwich.

After this, walk towards the spice market to see the whole world of spices and then fill your belly some more with dishes like rabri-faluda (rice noodles), chole bhatura (chickpeas curry and fried bread) and a chilled glass of Lassi! (Sweetened yogurt)

Finish your gastronomic journey with some chilled and mouth watering kulfi (Indian ice cream with more than 50 flavours) before your guide takes you back and drop at the metro station.

Horrible. Despite the fact that I left multiple messages prior to the day, I wasn’t contacted regarding pick up and not even on the day of the event. Not even a note of apology - before or after. Caveat to whoever books this tour. Still waiting for my refund.

One of the best food tours I have ever been... Surej knows its way through the amazing maze of narrow and packed streets of Old Delhi giving a really interesting experience, getting to know some of the culture and especially tasting the best street food ever. When I come back, I will definitely take this tour again...

My husband and I went on this tour with Sunil as our guide. He met us at our hotel in Aerocity, where he had a tuktuk waiting to take us to the metro, and we then rode the train to Old Delhi. Sunil was very kind and knowledgeable, and we were both so glad we had him to guide us through the winding streets and crowds. We sampled some delicious foods, and since it ended up just being the two of us on the tour, Sunil was very flexible in giving us options about what foods we wanted to stop to try and wether or not we wanted to visit certain stops. Once we were full and getting tired, we all took a rickshaw back to the metro and then Sunil escorted us back to our hotel by tuktuk again. This was a great way to get a taste of Old Delhi!

I 100% recommend this tour that we booked though GetYourGuide! Our guide Sunil was great, he guided us through the streets of old Delhi and explained us a lot of things about the culture and the history of the placed we visited. He adapted the tour to meet our preferences and made us taste delicious street food around the way. He is very well educated and could teach us many things. In particular I really liked the Sikh temple and the spice market.

This tour was awesome. SO worth the money. Our tour guide Sunil was amazing- he went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience in our short time in Delhi. Old Delhi is chaotic and overwhelming- we had thought about exploring on our own but you NEED a guide as a foreigner (even an adventurous one) and Sunil was the best one. We tried so much amazing food- we didn’t need to eat lunch or dinner and got to check out the coolest street food spots that we never would have found on our own. We learned so much history, saw some cultural sites as an added bonus, and were able to navigate Old Delhi so easily and confidently despite the chaos thanks to Sunil. Highly highly recommend to anyone and everyone
