It was an enjoyable and safe tour thanks to the kind guide Khalid and nice driver Muveen. Khalid took many nice pictures for me and Muveen had queued very long time to get my train ticket and gave me safe drive. During this tour, I felt really safe even I was alone. I recommend this tour a woman who thinking about solo travel in Agra. お土産屋さんに寄ったりはありますが、そんなに押しも強くないので大丈夫でした。快適な、お値段以上のツアーを提供してくれました。

We booked our tour online and we were not sure what to expect. We were picked up at our hotel on time, and we were taken to the station in a very clean car by courteous driver called Raj. We booked first class on the train. It was neat spacious and comfortable and very fast, but their first class is not as good as you get in places like UK. We were received by a gentleman called Rashid. He is a wonderful knowledgeable and very helpful. We learnt a lot from him. I certainly recommend this tour company highly.

From the hotel pick-up in the morning to the drop-off at night, this tour was well orchestrated. Mr. Sohel picked us up at our hotel, and even though we were 10 minutes late, he got us to the railway station in plenty of time. He brought us into the Delhi station and escorted us to our seats in the train car. He took our picture to send on to our tour guide in Agra. When we reached Agra, the first thing we saw was Mr. Farid Baig’s smiling face, holding his phone with our picture up so that we would know we were with him. That took a big weight off our minds, since this was the first time we’ve ever been to Agra. He brought us to our car and driver, Mr Ali, who greeted us with beautiful flower leis, to give us a warm Agra welcome. As we drove to Taj Mahal, Mr Farid gave us a brief itinerary of our day, letting us know that nothing was set in stone, so we could customize our day if we wanted to. He mentioned that there was cold bottled water in the back and that we could stop and use a hotel washroom before going to Taj Mahal, since the ones there would probably be very busy. After a two hour train ride, that was welcome news. He also told us to ignore the street hawkers that would be everywhere, otherwise we would be inundated. Pictures do not do justice to the Taj Mahal. I had always assumed that it was pure white, but seeing it in person, we could see all the beautiful jeweled inlays decorating the walls. To listen to Mr Farid tell us about the history and building of Taj Mahal and Agra was the highlight of the trip, surpassed only by the Taj Mahal itself. From hearing him tell story after story about Taj Mahal - Shah Jahar’s love for his third wife Mumtaz Mahal, the reason for the building of the Taj, the highly skilled craftsmen who came from afar to build the Taj - you could feel the love and respect he had for Taj Mahal and how much he wanted you to appreciate and love it as he did. When we were inside the mausoleum, where picture taking is not allowed, he would admonish people he saw breaking that rule, not confrontationally but more to tell them to show respect. We probably stayed longer at the Taj Mahal than was originally planned because we enjoyed all the stories he had to tell. After the Taj, he asked if we wanted to see the descendants of some of the craftsmen who had done the jeweled inlay work, who had been taught, parent to child, to continue the beautiful craft for 17 generations since the Taj Mahal was built. Watching the gentlemen using a grinding stone manually powered by a rod attached by rope to shape a thin slice of semi-precious gemstones from a rough 3/4” square to an intricate flower petal the same way his 17x-great grandfather did 400 years ago was amazing. From there we went to lunch at Bon Barbecue. We didn’t take advantage of the buffet because we got full from the delicious starters that were being brought around. Next on the itinerary was Agra Fort. When Mr Farid mentioned that there would be an uphill climb to get to the top of the fort and a lot of walking, he said it would probably be the last stop before we had to catch the train. He offered the option of driving around it instead, which we took since it was over 90° that day and the thought of an uphill climb in the heat was not very appealing. Even with just driving around, he still told us stories about Agra Fort and its connection to the Taj Mahal. Since we had made up time, we went on to see the tomb of Itimad ud Daulah, aka Baby Taj, another beautiful white marble monument. A lot smaller than the Taj Mahal, it looked more delicate with more ornamentation. Here, Mr Farid let us wander by ourselves. He waited by the entrance and told us if we had any questions about anything we saw, he would be happy to answer them when we were done wandering. After Baby Taj, he asked if we would be interested in seeing how rugs were made. Agra had a cooperative of over 9000 looms that made hand knotted rugs in both the Persian and Turkish methods. To watch the nimble fingers of these talented craftspeople knot and cut yarn to hand make these beautiful rugs was fascinating. We had half an hour to go before our train ride back, so we spent it in a cafe just talking about many different topics. When it was time to go, we were driven to the station and as before, we were escorted to our train car. When we got back to Dehli, Mr Sohel was at the train platform waiting to take us back to our hotel. TLDR: Take the tour and may your tour guide be Farid Baig. He is the best. You will not regret it. PS: If you can, take the train option. It gets you there way faster than driving.

My lovely wife organised this tour of Agra Taj Mahal and the Red Fort and it was absolutely incredible. A short(ish) summary 1. The 5 of us were picked up from our hotel in Delhi, taken to the rail station and put on the correct train and seats by the driver. The train was clean and we received something to eat and drink which was nice. 2. When we arrived, we were collected by our tour guide Farid Baig and presented with garlands before we sat in the very comfortable car. We were then taken to a clean restroom before we proceeded to the Taj Mahal. Before I continue, I cannot stress enough that you should specifically ask for Farid Baig as your tour guide and my later points will make it clear why. 3. We arrive at Taj Mahal and Farid gives us safety rules and guidelines and immediately shows us the best places to get pictures and bursts into it's history, architecture and materials of the Taj Mahal (I won't go into to much detail and spoil it for you) and his enthusiasm was relentless throughout the whole tour! He's also a great photographer! 4. We then went to lunch, which was absolutely fantastic (I'm UK Indian and my mum is a fantastic cook so my standards for Indian food are very high) and then we head off towards Agra Fort where Farid showed and told us so much more! 5. We also went to a government backed building which focuses on the artisan work that went into the Taj Mahal and is still used in creating masterpieces today! 6. We then head to the train station where we were walked to our train and picked up by the same driver from Delhi train station to head back to the hotel. We left at 7am and arrived back at 7pm; it was seamless, fun, informative and pretty damn magical to be Frank. Highly recommend.
