What other way to start a trip in India but to dive in a refugee street food tour with Utsav!? The food was absolutely delicious - every single choice was excellent, we felt so welcomed in all locations and had the most fascinating conversations about the history and sometimes lovely personal connections with food. Highly recommended! Thank you, Utsav, for being such an amazing guide and for introducing us to delicious food and the best momo we've had so far!

OMG this tour was wonderful, the best tour led by a local guide I've ever been on, this said by someone who's been around the block, so to speak,on many dreary locally-led tours. Nupam has boundless enthusiasm, knowledge (I casually mentioned how amazing I found the grilled meat in Africa Africa and she spoke of their choice of grill Fuel: cow dung!), humor, and love of Delhi and India. Whatever you do in Delhi, take this tour.

Exploring areas of South Delhi that are home to communities from Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Burma and Tibet, hearing more about the journeys that led them to India and their contributions to Delhi through the love of food from their homelands, was a fascinating experience. Expertly and enthusiastically led by my guide Esha, No Footprints offers the chance to step off the usual tourist trail to delve into a different side of Delhi and the rich cultures that now make up the city today. With fun and laughter as we enjoyed tasty dishes and little treats from the communities' markets and restaurants, far from the chaotic lanes of old Delhi, it was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. Highly recommended!

I just finished two weeks of travel for my first time in India and I am so grateful we discovered No Footprints. I was traveling with my husband and our best friends, another couple from the US. We loved our No Footprint tour and guide in Mumbai so much that we had to follow up when she told us about the Delhi Refugee food tour. What. An. Amazing. Experience. We only had 24 hours to spend in Delhi before our flight home and this was the best way I could imagine to see such a big city in such a short time. Eesha, our guide was incredibly helpful, and responsive with our last minute booking. She booked the car and picked us up from the hotel we were staying at. She was so passionate about the city she was raised in and tied in history, geography, politics, and the rivalry between Delhi and Mumbai as we travelled from neighborhood to neighborhood. We had 5 planned stops and Eesha was very flexible with our private group when we wanted to stop in the markets or spend less time at some of the restaurants. The food choices were so diverse and the dining experiences were completely authentic and unique. She taught us about the dynamic between household and cooks, where to find specific types of ingredients, and how some cuisines became a combination of cultures as borders ebb and flow throughout history. We had just the right amount food to be full bur not uncomfortable. One of our friends has a nut allergy and Eesha went as far as to talk to the chefs to confirm that the food selections were safe. It's important to note that our group doesn't necessarily have the same palette but we were all satisfied with the food selections and restaurant vibes! The tour lasted about 6 hours but Eesha was so engaging and knowledgeable that the time flew by. I would recommend the company and Eesha to anyone traveling to Delhi even if only for a day!

At the end of our trip to India, this tour was suggested as a good option. Our guide Eesha picked us up and we were off - our expert driver traversing a chaotic rush hour. What a fabulous experience to tour various areas of Delhi that a "regular" tourist would never visit; to learn about different cultures through historical context, as well as tasting unique foods from many points of Delhi's own "melting pot." We experienced Burma, Tibet, Bangladesh and Afghanistan - just to name a few. Learning how these individual refugee groups found their way to India and why they stayed. Finding that food was an easy/essential way to retain their own cultures Make sure you arrive hungry and try everything. Definitely 5 Stars.
