Old Delhi is a heaven for all food lovers and one of the best places to relish food, snacks and drinks from all across India in a single place. Shops here have been serving for decades altogether and pleasing the locals.
Early Morning we meet at Chawri Bazaar metro station and embark on a journey to discover the local delicacies that Old Delhi has to offer, our food experts have researched these streets and shortlisted these outlets to give you the best experience.
The first stop is a sweet shop which has been serving Bedmi Poori - Local Indian puffy bread made from wheat flour and a layer of lentils served with spiced potatoes. Then we head to the most famous food street to taste some Halwa (Indian Sweet) to balance out the flavours, followed by that we will taste Nihari - Mughal Insipired Lamb dish cooked for hours on a low heat served along with a fermented bread (vegetarian options also available).
We visit the narrow streets of Old Delhi to enjoy the beloved drink Chai - Local Indian tea infused with a variety of spices.
Then we take a stroll in the busy streets of Old Delhi to taste Jalebi's - sugar dipped candy, visit the community Kitchen of the Sikh temple where food for 25000 people is cooked everyday followed by this we go to Asia's Largest spice market to have a bird's eye view of entire Old Delhi.
We end the tour with Delhi's take on Home Made Ice Cream and dropping you back at the same place we started from.
