Visit Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage site by sameday car. An immense mausoleum of white marble, built in Agra between 1631 and 1648 by order of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favourite wife, the Taj Mahal is the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage.

Stop At: Agra Fort Rakabgani, Agra 282003 India

Afterwards, you'll visit the imposing Agra Fort (another UNESCO World Heritage site), built by third mughal Emperor Akbar This huge fort is made of red sandstone and features elegant buildings. The inside reflects an interesting synthesis of Hindu and Central Asian architectural styles which are simply amazing.

We didn’t have an itinerary, or a plan. We were just winging our travel round India. But we knew we HAD to visit the Taj Mahal. So we bought traditional Indian outfits the day before so we could do it properly. We weren’t sure if we needed a guide or if we could just see it by ourselves. Then we heard about Imran. A local guide for many years, who came recommended highly to us. We decided to contact him. Imran was quick to respond to messages, in perfect English. He knew exactly what to do to ensure our once in a lifetime trip to one of the wonders of the world was as wonderful as it should be. Imran met us at 6am (before sunrise), dressed very professionally. He knew the quietest entrance gate to go to, plus all the sights along the way. The history of the Taj was explained to us throughout our stroll through its grounds. And every photo opportunity was used to its full potential. My husband is not a lover of having his photo taken, but the images Imran captured that day were so special - we were both really glad we chose Imran to guide us. After the Taj Mahal we then went to Agra Fort where there was more to learn. The photos here were fantastic too, especially of the Taj Mahal in the background. We had to get a train at lunchtime so couldn’t stay longer, so Imran made sure we were back at our hotel at the time we needed and everything ran very smoothly. If someone asked me now, ‘do I need a guide?’ I would say maybe not, but get one anyway. And when you do decide to get one, make sure you choose Imran. Enjoy!

Had a wonderful tour 10 out of 10. Everything was perfect: well organized and planned. Our tour guide and the chauffeur, Manish and Jassi were amazing. Jassi picked up from hotel in delhi and then we met Manish in agra he was very professional and nice and He was a very good historian and storyteller! It is clear that he is passionate about sharing the authenticity of India’s history with others. Tajmahal was magnificent and he helped to took some pictures and lunch was also delicous. we are so thankful to have met someone as amazing as Manish because he truly made the time shared so special! highly recommended!

me and my wife we used their services and what an amazing tour of tajmahal this was. we got a very professional tour guide and driver was so helpful and punctual and they showed us all the places as per programme and he picked us from our hotel in delhi at morning time and we reached to agra less than 4 hours and went back on correct time and tajmahal was so beautiful and lunch was also decent. Overall highly recommend to all travellers we have no regret that we paid reasonable amount to them to get best services of tajmahal tour.

On honeymoon in India for 3 weeks (in January 2017) we had 4 different tour guides - but Imran was the best by far. He is a lovely family man, incredibly knowledgeable and passionate but also very personable too. I can see from the other more recent reviews that others feel the same way. We felt we'd got to know a local Indian person as well as learn lots about the Taj Majal, Agra Fort and the Tomb. Imran and I have kept in touch ever since. For those who like to post cool photos on Instagram - I can also say that Imran takes some awesome ones - see them below.

Imran is a great tour guide, very friendly, polite and informative while also being very knowledgeable about the additional questions I asked. As a solo female traveller I felt very comfortable with him as my guide. He also takes great photographs and was very generous with knowing the right spots and offering to take photos of me. Would definitely recommend him for a tour of the Taj Mahal and the Agra fort!
