We had a lovely day in Neha's good company. We were thrilled with the hands-on good advice we got and the lovely food we cooked.
This was a truly amazing experience. Saffron was truly amazing and we were both made to feel at home in her house. Enjoyed cooking with her
It’s an education just being in a home setting. We were fed first then ate our cooking, so very full at the end. Fresh roti was the highlight.
This cooking class was truly a highlight of our India trip — with two families, including children ranging from 7 to 17. Neha was warm and welcoming in her home, and she was truly able to engage everyone in the group and meet them where they were. We started with a cold bottle of water and a discussion of expectations for the day. When it became clear that some of our kids may not last for the longest class, she charted a path to finishing cooking in 1.5 hrs and having lunch — and honestly, we made it with ease. Everything was set up perfectly — 3 stations (2-3 per station), all the ingredients ready (prepared just enough but not too much), and even custom aprons and chef’s hats, in a modern and welcoming space. Neha provided excellent, clear direction for the adults and kids alike. She was supportive but empowering. And she kept calm throughout. Afterwards, we had a lovely lunch, including cold juices and a nice dessert. And she told us about her own (extensive) travels and asked about ours. Most impressively — all fo the kids tried the food that THEY made, including the pickiest ones. Neha sent us the recipes by email — everything we cooked and asked about. She also sent us pictures she took throughout. We were simply delighted, and cannot recommend this experience highly enough. It was well worth the time and money alike.
The Indian cooking class at Saffron Palate was a delightful immersion into the vibrant world of Indian cuisine, guided by the friendly and knowledgeable host. The hands-on learning experience made it more than just a class; it was a cultural journey filled with aromatic spices and heartwarming stories behind each dish. The menu offered a variety of flavors, with the butter chicken being a standout dish. The class atmosphere was engaging, making everyone feel at home. I highly recommend Saffron Palate for anyone interested in authentic Indian cooking. It's not just a culinary lesson; it's an enriching experience that connects food, culture, and people in a memorable way. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
