I’ve done a lot of these kinds tours in various cities with my family and I’m sad to say this was the most disappointing one. Our tour guide, Jordan, was adorable and sweet but wasn’t a great storyteller. It almost felt like this was her first tour or she was filling in for someone else. NYC is such a cool city with super rich history and the tour reflected none of that. Our tour was barely an hour with 6 stops that each couldn’t have taken more than 3 minutes for “storytelling” and there was a 10 minute break. The majority of our time was spent walking which is understandable given that we were going to multiple locations. But the walking in silence to storytelling ratio was very disappointing. If the stories were better or if we had a more engaging tour guide, maybe I’d feel better about it. I wish I could go back in time and choose another tour company because this wasn’t it.

I loved this tour! Pierre was awesome! So engaging and fun. I was in New York with friends and we did a couple of tours and this one was definitely our favorite. So much cool history, it was so much fun I would take it again Definitely recommend! Thanks Pierre!

great gangsters, mediocre ghosts essentially you’ll take an hour and a half gangster tour with two quick stops of ghost stories. our tour guide (pierre) was great and recommended good restaurants but his ghost script was limited and therefore a little disappointing

I’ve done several La Vacanza Travel tours, this one was not quite as good as others. The gangster position was interesting, although I did feel like our tour guide repeated themselves at different stops. The odd part was they said the gangster part ended as we were reaching the end of Little Italy. Then the commentary felt really random (here’s a 5 level lift parking lot, a famous person lived there) until we got to the old Triangle Shirt Waist Building. Then we talked about that and ended in Washington Square where we discussed some ghosts as well. They had lost me by that point. I’ve had success with other tours, so I’ll chalk it up to the guide.

Pierre was awesome and he knew a lot about everything we saw. He was a very knowledgeable guide, which helped us understand the history and culture of the different time periods as the city evolved. He had a charming personality as well.
