The only thing accurate about the description is the old car. (No costumes. No music. Visited only 6 of 22 sites.) The vendor did not respond to emails or voice mails. When I finally disputed through my credit card company, they quoted their non-refundable bookings policy. Then they emailed me claiming that I should have complained to the driver or gotten out (it was 23 degrees in January) and stopped the “tour.” Don’t give them your money. They don’t deliver as advertised, keep the money, and blame the customer.

Booked this tour as hubby loves cars especially the old ones. Found the company online using a google search and contacted them. We booked a 2 hour midtown/downtown tour in the 1920's prohibition car. The day before we booked the tour, our flight was diverted to Boston due to thunderstorms. Contacted the company as I didnt know when we would be in NYC. Turns out we arrived at JFK at 6:20am after British Airways put on a bus for us .... we couldnt sleep when we arrived at the hotel so we went ahead with the tour. Turned up and was advised it had been cancelled - I never asked for it to be cancelled. I asked if the tour could be moved to another day. After some conversation, the tour was back on. Thankfully as its a lot of money to lose through no fault of our own. The guide was great with a lot of knowledge of NYC and its history. Car got lots of looks and saw folk taking a lot of photos. Due to traffic I guess, we never stopped for any photoes. Recommended.

Let me preface the review with this, if you are on a girls trip this is probably not the tour for you. If you like old cars (it was a cool car to be fair), breathing in gas fumes, 1920s history and wind blown hair then this is the tour for you. This is an old car, so there is no air-conditioning so keep the time of year in mind. Windows down for airflow equals breathing in really strong gas fumes and wind blown hair. The car is low and the metal railing around the sunroof makes it hard to see much of the tall buildings. While I get the thought of the 1920s music it was way too loud and hard to hear. There are no shock absorbers in this car so every bump we hit was felt and chiropractors were visited when we returned home. On top of that, the company was 30 minutes late picking us up without any phone call or heads up, which rushed the rest of the day’s activities for us. This is just a personal preference of not wanting to hold my nose for 2 hours, but our drivers breath was so bad I could smell it from the backseat + stinky cologne is a bad combo. These are not things that I saw on any reviews when we booked this tour so I guess if I missed it shame on me. Doing you the favor of giving you the cons so you can make your own decision. Had I read this I definitely would not have picked this tour. Aside from not having the courtesy of calling when they weren’t going to show up on time, the company delivered what they advertised. So, most of the cons for us is not really a knock on them. Just not the tour for us.
