Great views. Ticket desk / lifts downstairs in the Rockerfeller building, not fantastically signposted but pretty efficient. No good cafe in the building to kill time waiting as it's all in the basement. We didn't love the "surprise" lift but it certainly makes it a more memorable ride... kids above 10? I think count as adult prices, but children's tickets are only a couple of dollars less than adults.
Excellent! I’d highly recommend this tour. We booked for 6:05pm and arrived at the entrance at 6:05pm.. to be admitted entry in front of 200+ people that were waiting in cues.. We were at the top about two minutes later. We stayed until 8:30pm and while it was pretty crowded by then the exit process was smooth and we were back on the street by 9:00.
So disappointing. We've taken many people to the Top of the Rock over the years because it was an informative experience that culminated in spectacular views of the city. It was MUCH more expensive and so much less value. The slow walk through reading about the history of the building and the wonderful video are gone ...up the steps, cram into an elevator...dump out into chaos of ridiculous rope cues that are not well marked. They have taken up space on the viewing on the 69th floor with "The Beam" ...for an extra $25 per person they raise you up a few feet and take your picture. We'd already paid $43 for little more than great views. We were on a school trip and thought from our previous experiences that this would be a great way to learn about this wonderful building. So very, very disappointed.
Would recommend for the views but getting out was a nightmare. Seriously....... Only one lift to get out of the place. It took us a whole HOUR to get out. Very badly organised !
Very disappointed. Too expensive for the opportunity to look out the windows. The The Beam… just not worth it. Right now I’ve waited for over an hour to get an elevator out of here. There are much better things to do in NYC. Stay away.
