My dad and I joined this photo tour with Zim and we had such a great experience. Zim taught us so much about the physical camera as well as the process of taking photographs. We learned many basics and techniques that we can implement going forward in our photo taking endeavors. We have a better idea of the functions/functionality of the camera and how to be more mindful of what we are capturing. We are very excited to use what we learned in this photo class going forward and would highly recommend NYC Photo Safari (and Zim) to photographers of all levels looking to learn new skills and capture the city!

I had the opportunity to be in New York City on the 20th anniversary of 9/11. So I booked a tour with NYC Safari. It was about a 5 hour session. First meeting on the NJ side for the sunset skyline, and to see the memorial lights during blue hour. Next we headed into the city and had the opportunity to take shots from almost directly under the memorial lights. This might sound odd but it truly was a unique and pretty awe-inspiring experience. Just seeing the lights go up for eternity from the base is not to be missed. Then the group headed over to brooklyn to shoot the night skyline. Truly a really fantastic time. Zim, our tour guide, did a wonderful job guiding is around. This was my 3rd time working with her, usually I do private sessions but only had this one opportunity to do has a group. I was really happy to see the kept the group really small I think there was 6 of us total. Looking forward to the next time I am in NY.

The Photo Safari photo tour was excellent, our guide/instructor Zim was experienced, and professional. She knew where and how to get the best shots and had good suggestions about settings and composition and she had interesting stories to illustrate points. It was a very enjoyable morning

Our WTC Photo Tour was a great experience! Zim (our expert/guide) was patient, knowledgeable, and professional; providing individualized instruction and guidance on all things photographic - Camera Use, Theory, and Composition. I learned so much, and will keep the three rules to heart. I also want to thank NYC Photo Safari for being proactive and changing our date/time due to impending inclement weather. We enjoyed a rain free tour, and made it home prior to the highways flooding! I would highly recommend NYC Photo Safari for all levels of photographers and visitors to NYC.

We've been on almost all of NYC Photo Safari's trips, except this one. For this adventure we got to try out Ricoh Theta 360° cameras and got pointers on how to take and process the images all on our smartphone. Excellent instruction by Zim and two Ricoh reps helped everyone with setup. A great time was had by all the participants and we all got some nice shots to take home despite cloudy weather during most of the safari.
