This daytrip at Nusa Penida was absolutely wonderful and exciting. I was able to enjoy many activities with my family throughout the trip. The views were incredibly beautiful to the human eye! However, there are 2 concerns when visiting this island. Despite the amazing views; Nusa Penida had a hot weather and was very crowded. The driver was also kind and welcoming. Definitely a great trip, thanks for the service. Really recommend!

Its a nice place but the roads are vary bad. and the steamer service is pathetic. there is no deck to enter the steamer. steamer drivers drive it like a racing boat, they treat tourist like a hurd of sheep. ppl were hitting the roof as they were driving at full throttle. its the worst day of my life. do not go there with family. it will be good if you like to go adventure without worrying about your safetly, u can try this otherwise leave it

Was described as a great day trip, was told it was better than Lembongan but found out that in reality it is not quite thete yet. Roads and infrastructure need a lot more work. A lot of nice beaches and scenery but way too much time spent traveling on overcrowded and unmaintained roads. In time it will be as good as the Lembongan trip but not yet. Food and staff were great.

You see the idyllic pics and you think ''I want to see this piece of paradise" so you do the research and book a tour where you can either get picked up from your hotel or make your own way to Sanur to catch a boat. Make sure it's a speed boat as it's only a 30min ride as opposed to 90min. So far so good and you're on your way to Nusa Penida. On a clear day, you can see Mt Agung from the boat. Getting off the boat once you get there is a challenge. There's no bridge or pontoon and the wharf is still under construction, so you need to jump from a moving vessel onto a slippery, mud pit where you hope to God they catch you. Dangerous for kids, older people or anyone who is not used to doing the splits regularly. But still at this stage you're still excited and looking forward to those amazing views at Kelingking and Broken Beach. Your driver meets you and your off on your adventure. However, you soon realise that you've potentially got yourself and your family in a very dangerous situation once you head into the mountains. The broken roads are super narrow with deep ravines. These are used as a 2way road, so passing incoming cars and trucks means that your car will have a wheel hanging off the cliff a lot. Dangerous roads with more potholes than Swiss cheese. Many people get car sick because you get thrashed around pretty badly, not to mention the depth of those ravines if you have a fear of heights. Nusa Penida is nowhere near ready to accommodate this amount of tourists. It's irresponsible to advertise these trips without proper warning. Not for young kids, older people, unfit or injured people as there are steep rocky climbs, no safety barriers, the heat alone will kill you. I saw lots of people struggling with these climbs, wearing inappropriate footwear and clothing trying to get the perfect Insta shot. Crystal Bay sounds idyllic but it's awful. Impossible to walk on or swim as it's a full on coral beach and the surf is rough. I'm talking about big chunks of coral, not coarse sand. No proper facilities and searing heat with no shade. I basically regretted my trip by that stage and was glad I hadn't put my 2 kids through that experience. Maybe in 10yrs, they will be prepared for visitors but now, in 2019 it's still too unsafe. If you're looking for calm lagoons to swim in, try Plantation Island Fiji, Belle Mare Mauritius or Maré in New Caledonia. Leave Nusa Penida for a decade.

We hired a driver for the day and went to a few places on the island. The roads are bumpy and it takes time to get to one place to another. Angel's Billabong was disappointing. We visited during the low tide but it was not as cool as some of the photos you see online. No a cess to the water either. Broken beach and T-Rex (Kelingking) were absolutely beautiful. But it was full of tourists and it seems as if taking photos is the main purpose here. At T-Rex, we went down to the beach. It's very tiring and dangerous. It took us an hour to get down. The beach is very nice but the waves are very strong. We didn't stay for long. I wouldn't have gone down to the beach if I knew what the route was like. Then the Cristal Bay. Snorkeling here was interesting. This is where you can relax on bean bags. Overall, beautiful island but visiting once is enough. Too many people.
