Overview

The Cabaret Club Madame Arthur is a unique place in the Parisian landscape. Musician, singer, actor, make-up artist, they are all different but come together through their love of the cabaret of transvestite creatures. Each week, the cast changes and four artists from the troupe shine to pay homage to a theme that is dear to them, with a humor that rhymes with glamour.

Doors open: 8 p.m.
Show of the week: 9-10 p.m.
French Guigui Pop Test: 10pm-11pm (only Fridays and Saturdays)
Singing tour (second show leaving carte blanche to our artists): 10:45 p.m.-11:45 p.m.
Club: 11:30 p.m.-6 a.m.

Hoping to see some fabulous French drag queens, we booked an 8 pm show at Madam Arthur. The website told us that doors would open at 7:45, allowing early birds priority entrance. We arrived at 7:55, no lines, then stood inside and waited, and waited for a “show” that started almost an hour late. It was a sort of droll skit featuring a violinist singing opera. If you’re looking for glam entertainment, look elsewhere in the neighborhood.

What a show! Amazing entertainment. Fantastic staff and lovely people ready to bend over backwards to help. We really enjoyed ourselves and really appreciated the support from the staff helping us book a taxi to go home.

I could not go because of health reasons and the cabaret refused to allow transfer to another name , or even rebook to another date , so not impressed.

I advise to take the dinner package for 120€ pp. It is the only way to seat during the main show. Considering that 1/2 bottle of champagne pp is included, it is reasonable. The performers are professional singers (or pianist or violonist) so it is excellent quality and fun. It is all in French so less witty for non French speakers. (Food is OK but you do not go there for food.) After the main show there are other shows which are also fun. (if you want a table for 2 or three you need to buy a bottle for around 80€). Again lots of fun especially for French speakers.
