I'd arranged a surprise Choux Pastry & Eclair Making Class on Saturday for 4 people @ The Foodist - rue Cardinal Lemoine Paris. Very Professional set up & describing Stephane our Chef / Instructor for the afternoon merely a pastry chef or patissier is under selling his skillset. There were 7 people in total & I think its fair to say we all had a fantastic afternoon learning new skills, understanding the arts of making [& then devouring] of Choux Pastry & Chocolate Eclairs under the expert & watchful guidance of Stephane. The afternoon flew by & hopefully we'll be able to utilise our new found skills upon our return home. Thanks Stephane for a great afternoon.
My husband and I took this tour in early December and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Paris. Igor was a fantastic guide. We had a large group, about 20 people from several different countries, and he took fantastic care of all of us, making sure everyone got to see and hear everything. The tour was about two hours long and was packed with interesting information and entertaining commentary. In addition, we got to skip the entrance line and visit two "VIP" places that are closed off to most visitors. Don't hesitate to book this tour! One suggestion: be sure to bring some cash for a tip. We didn't have any on us and regretted that we couldn't show our appreciation in that way, as Igor definitely went above and beyond to be sure we all had a great time.
Egor, our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and fun. He kept our attention the entire time. Amazing experience!
We took a tour with IGOR who was a great and lively tour guide. We had our 14 year old son with us and it was clear that this is a popular tour for families with teenage kids in Paris. I would really recommend visiting with a guide because you not only see more of the catacombs (the 'private' areas) which were in our view the most interesting aspects but also because you learn so much more about why and how the catacombs exist.
