Enjoy a 2-hour private walking tour of Paris' Latin Quarter with a personal guide who shows you the historical and cultural sites of this popular district, from the Sorbonne to the Pantheon.

The name "Latin District" is an allusion to the fact that university courses were held in the district only in Latin, during the Middle Ages. So, not surprisingly our journey begins in the world's most famous library Shakespeare & Company, frequented by great writers like Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Millen and Joyce. Trampling on the soil of an ancient Merovingian cemetery, we will discover the legend of St. Julian the Poor and the origins of the university in France. A dip in medieval Paris at the Cluny Museum, then a stop at the Sorbonne. In the wake of the Master Woody Allen we will retrace the places of his film Midnight in Paris. Still, we will admire the majestic Pantheon in Paris, we will not miss the green Luxembourg garden of Maria de' Medici and a we'll stop at the Odeon theater.

The tour was interesting enough and the guide was nice, friendly and knowledgeable. It mainly consisted of the history of various buildings and their architecture with some other interesting things thrown in. We got a good look at the area as we walked around. The tour was ok but it might have been nice to hear more about the quarter in the modern day as well.

Meravigliosa passeggiata pomeridiana con Maurizio, che oltre a tante informazioni storiche ci ha condotto per il Quartiere Latino entusiasmandoci con storie, aneddoti e curiosità! Scorci indimenticabili e stradine minuscole teatro di avvenimenti che solo in pochi conoscono e raccontano! Il tutto con simpatia ed calore partenopeo. Imperdibile!

Grazie a Maurizio (La Guida) abbiamo scoperto molte cose riguardo al quartiere Latino di Parigi. Tour divertente, guida ottima e cordiale. Il giro é adatto anche per i bambini, anche a loro é piaciuto molto.
