Overall a good experience. The tour guide and castles were amazing. The car was a bit cramped, but I am tall, so it might not be an issue for others. Also, wine tasting is after lunch in a shop where you get to try 4 vines from an automated dispensing machine. However, given the time and amount of castles visited, there isn’t really time to do a regular wine tasting.

This was one of the three day-trips we booked through Blue Fox. All were positive. The Loire Valley trip was the most relaxing one (compared with my two Normandy trips) due to the shorter driving distance, so that we had more time to explore each castle. Our tour guide Julie was very sweet and thoughtful in planning potty breaks on the way, making sure we had an umbrella in case of rain, and adjusting free-explore time based on the group's needs and interests. The booklet she carried (can be seen on Blue Fox's promotional materials) was very helpful in explaining the timeline and history through visual aid. The three castles visited were all uniquely amazing. Just when I thought it could not get better, it did. I would recommend Blue Fox tours to anyone!

Really enjoyed this trip. The guide for the group, Gabriel, was excellent and also was a great safe driver! He was entertaining and thoughtful. Gabriel gave us lots of useful information, but also let us have time to explore the three castles and their gardens/domains on our own. There was a little wine tasting, but I would really consider the castles as the main event here which was perfectly fine for me and what I was actually looking for. It will be a solid 12 hour day from Paris and back. Be prepared to walk a decent amount as well as climb stone stairs. Chenonceau was stunning and incredible. Chambord was very grand (make sure to take time to see the front of the castle across the river! Very few people surprisingly did this on my visit). Amboise was overshadowed by the other two in my humble opinion, but still worthwhile as the town in quaint. Very much recommended!

Julie was so friendly, a great driver, and agreeable to our slight schedule change for earlier lunch. She provided us with just the right amount of historical background to further appreciate these incredible chateaux. Chambord is apparently the castle used as model for Besuty and the Beast. Most beautiful and interesting of all the castles I have seen. Great creperie for lunch and right amount of time allotted at each location. Happy with my choice of tour company. Good value.

I loved this tour - favorite day of my trip. Our guide Lucy was very kind and knowledgeable. Our group was small and the van ride was comfortable. I really wanted to visit the Loire Valley, and feel lucky to have been able to so easily. Blue Fox took care of everything for me and it was no stress. Thanks!!
