We were very disappointed in this tour in Oct 16. The male guide had very limited knowledge of art it was really a walking tour of the Montmartre district which was not what we wanted or paid for. The walk ended in a secluded and hidden area at the back of Sacre Couer - which was a pleasant surprise. After this we found our own way to the Musée de l'Orangerie and then on another day to Musée d'Orsay. We would have been better off giving the walk a miss or going on a general walking tour of Montmartre with another operator and buying the tickets to the two collections ourselves on line.

Our guide was very knowledgeable about the Impressionist artists and their lives and interactions in this beautiful area of Paris. He enthusiastically led us through the narrow streets, pointing out apartments and cafes where artists such as Monet and Toulouse Lautrec stayed and met to discuss their art. Love the small group experience (there were 5 in out group), as you could be close enough to him to hear his commentary as you were walking. Easy to ask questions, as well. There are many wonderful restaurants and bars in the area, as well, so take note of where they are if you would like to go back for lunch or dinner. The tickets you receive for Musee de l'Orangerie and optional Musee d'Orsay(which I highly recommend getting) do not have to be used that day. They may be used any time during the rest of the year. Both museums are amazing if you like Impressionist art. The tour ends at the rear of the Sacre Coeur, and does not include commentary for inside the church. The 90-minute tour just flew by!

Our tour guide Romain was fabulous. He was well prepared with stories and photos of the art that he talked about. We went to many houses and workshops of famous painters. He could sing very well and did some Edith Piaf and others. Very knowledgeable guide. It was very cold and rainy on our tour but it didn't phase him and he carried on in spite of the fact that it was such a dismal day. We would highly recommend this tour and guide to a fantastic part of Paris.

Absolutely loved this walk! I was part of a group of three which allowed for a very personalized tour. Romain went at a comfortable pace and was genuinely delighted to answer questions not only about the tour but also about french history, culture, etc. He made the tour seem like we were walking with a friend and chatting about our surroundings. The walk itself is worth it. The winding cobblestone streets, the cafes, the music, the stories and the views are a highlight of my time in Paris! I would recommend the tour
