Overview

This is a combined priority access ticket for the Sainte-Chapelle and La Conciergerie de Paris : Enjoy these two Paris’s highlights. We advise you to start at the Conciergerie and then head to the Sainte-Chapelle where the lines are always very long.

Visit: Sainte-Chapelle, 8 Boulevard du Palais, 75001 Paris France

The Sainte-Chapelle, this newly restored and intimate chapel from the 13th century, is only located a few meters from the Conciergerie. It is a true gem of French Gothic architecture. Arranged across 15 windows, each 15 meters high, the stained glass panes depict 1,113 scenes from the Old and New Testaments recounting the history of the world until the arrival of the relics in Paris.

Visit: Conciergerie, 2 boulevard du Palais, 75001 Paris France

Get to discover first the Conciergerie, located on Île de la Cité. This former Paris seat of Justice is this impressive monument overlooking the river Seine. Being first a Royal Palace and a seat of Justice of the French monarchy, the Conciergerie then became a prison of the Revolutionary Tribunal where Marie-Antoinette was imprisoned until her death.

Although the buildings were beautiful we were underwhelmed. One of our tickets did not scan and we were told that we did not receive a ticket with 2 adults printed on it, despite holding it in our hand. Then we were told that we did not have a scheduled time, despite the time being printed across the top of the ticket. Beauty vs aggravation? I would have preferred to explore the area on foot without being annoyed.

We were unable to use this ticket. We were sold this ticket then had to get on the national monument website to complete the booking. Entrance was sold out for every day we were in Paris. We feel this was a bait and switch. Trip advisor needs to know that we were taken advantage of by this company. We have requested our money back. We have reached out to the company since our arrival in Paris for the past 6 days. There has been no response.

We were sold tickets they did not have….we paid La Vacanza Travel for tickets….and then they sent us to the website for Saint Chapelle which was sold out for the week we were there…I contacted La Vacanza Travel and they were not helpful….and did not refund our tickets fee. Be careful what you buy with them! We ended up getting a guided tour through Tiquets that was very good!

We did not get to do this experience due to no tickets being available, despite the fact that La Vacanza Travel sold us tickets for the specific day, indicating there was availability. Their solution was for our group to just find a different day for us to go yet that was not possible as there are no tickets available for at least a week out and we were in Paris for 3 days. I do not know how they can sell tickets for a day when none are available and then refuse to provide a refund for the 7 tickets we purchased. I reached out to the venue and did not receive a response. Super shady and disappointing.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Sainte-Chapelle. But since I was last there, now they require reservations, which weren’t available on their site. So I looked on TripAdvisor, and found tickets which were combo tickets instead (so €22 instead of the regular €13 entry) but they were available on the day we could go, so I bought them. HOWEVER: What they don’t tell you is even with the day tickets, you ALSO need a reservation directly from Sainte-Chapelle— which was of course sold out. I messaged them to request a refund and never heard back; we showed up right when Sainte-Chapelle opened and they have a line for folks without tickets (!!) which is where they put us since we didn’t have reservations. So basically, I wasted €18 because I wound up in the no tickets line anyway. Very disappointed in both TripAdvisor and Avator.
