Seine River Dinner Cruise Maxim's de Paris with Champagne and Live Music

Awful experience. Booked through TripAdvisor/La Vacanza Travel and specifically logged on during Christmas dinner to make sure paid in full. Show up at the pont in Paris 3 days later to discover that (a) the dinner had been moved from 645p to 6p and no one notified us, (b) the boat was pulling away at 559p and (c) our names were not even on the list!! The overworked but kind girl at the booth took a screenshot of her computer showing that my Dec 28 booking was cancelled even tho La Vacanza Travel happily took my $375 less than 73 hours prior. None one at Paris CityVision, La Vacanza Travel or TripAdvisor bothered to let us know why they took our money and our booking was cancelled nor that they made the dinner earlier so that we could stop by much sooner to rectify any errors. In the end, wasted €40 to take taxis in the rain to and from the pier and my poor, tired 12 year old had no food, no cruise, no tour. Took a week of fighting with La Vacanza Travel to get them to agree to refund me. This is NOT how you run a business on the busiest travel week of the year in one of the busiest cities in the world. Shame on you Paris CityVision, La Vacanza Travel and TripAdvisor for not even lifting a pinky to make things right or offer any apology or compensation for what was clearly your error. Still waiting on my supposedly refund.

I was in Paris to celebrate my 50th birthday and wanted to do something very special to remember the day I looked at other Seine cruises but this one stood out to me as it was more intimate and the choice of food was more superior I was very fortunate to meet a group of people from new York who kindly let me sit with them at Thier table and they were so kind and welcoming to me and we all agreed how amazing this cruise was and how beautiful the food was the service was great and the entertainment was fantastic the scenery of Paris was breathtaking and as we were on the last cruise of the evening we got to see the Eiffel tower lit up in all her glory there is a professional photographer on board as well and the people who invited me to Thier table kindly gifted me one of the photographs which I will treasure forever as well as the amazing memories of the cruise which made my birthday special

The server that checked us in was extremely rude and continued to cut me off every time I responded to his questions about our reservation. Eventually, when it was time to go, less than an hour later, he was very curt in his approach when he told us that “we must leave” because they had another party to get ready for. This was a 45 minute cruise with ok food and a very miserable, rude man who hated life.

This dinner cruise was a huge disappointment. There were a total of 4 people on the cruise including my husband and I. The food was terrible. It was way over priced. The atmosphere was awful. We saw many other boats on the river that were all busy. Obviously other people must have read reviews of this particular cruise that we did not.

This was an amazing evening - we went on the later 9pm cruise , the food was sublime, the staff were friendly and the entertainment was superb. It was my daughters 18th birthday and we couldn’t think of a better way to have spent it . An absolute Memory to treasure. Great views and passing the Eiffel Tower all lit up was just amazing
