Overview

Here at Bike About, we’re a family. Our tours were one of the first to hit the Paris scene nearly 2 decades ago, and we like to keep that feeling of community on tour. For this reason, and unlike other bike tours of Versailles, we limit our groups. We also warmly welcome you at our very own café, and our guide rides the train to Versailles with you- so you’re taken care of the whole way. Join our family for a day, and experience our version of Versailles!

We’ve planned an unforgettable day trip from Paris, cruising through the town of Versailles for the amazing local market, heading into Versailles’ grounds & gardens, Marie Antoinette’s village, and the Trianons. After the picnic, we make our way to the Chateau. You’ll then explore the palace at your own pace.

Our tour makes history accessible. It’s about getting the juicy important details of Versailles plus the fun stories and quirky anecdotes. It’s simply about an unforgettable day in the countryside, tickets included

Truly a highlight of our trip! Rachael was our guide and she was not only knowledgeable but also so fun! We took our bikes to a market in the town (not open all days just an FYI!) to get food and treats for our picnic. Then we started our tour and it was incredible to see the vastness of the grounds that is just not accessible by foot. I personally loved seeing all the farm animals! We stopped by the pond to enjoy our picnic and after the tour was over, was able to enter the Chateau and navigate at our own pace. 11/10 experience

Anyone not in good physical shape should not attempt the bike ride. Guide David was terrific You can see Versailles without the bike ride. It is strenuous

This bike tour was the highlight of our trip to Paris!! Well organised from the start of our journey in Paris through to end of the tour in Versailles. Our guide Marley was the hostess with the most-ess and made the day extremely enjoyable. Her knowledge on the history of Versailles was amazing! She made the experience of Versailles and the gardens a really great day!! Everything about the day was fun! From picking up our bikes in Versailles to the farmers markets to the tour of the grounds to the picnic by the water, it was all magical! The tour is a must do with Bike About Tours while in Paris!

Had a great trip, away from the crowds, with no rush and with interesting information. The guide was friendly, knew a lot and didn't overflow us with information.
