Thai food is an international favorite, at Suuko you can learn how to make world-famous Thai dishes from scratch, with an emphasis on herbal properties of the dishes to boost body and immunity balance. Our Thai cooking class is held open air so guests can enjoy all that our beautiful natural scenery has to offer here at Suuko.

What Can You Expect?

Learn the skills of Thai cooking, with an emphasis on understanding of herbs and how to make your own curry pastes. 2 guests per one cooking station (so you have time to make your own curry paste!).

Menu selection from:
Menu A - Deep-fried fish cakes + Green curry with chicken + Clear soup with mixed seafood and seaweed + Thai sweet sticky rice with mango

Menu B - Seafood and vegetable spring rolls + Spicy chicken soup with coconut milk and herbs + Chicken Thai-basil stir-fry + Pumpkin in warm coconut cream

Menu C - Spicy glass noodles salad + Clear soup with shrimps and bean curd + Pa-naeng curry with chicken + Banana in coconut milk

Menu D - Papaya salad + Spicy prawn soup with lemongrass + Massaman curry with chicken + Thai style banana flambe

Menu E - Deep fried spring rolls + Spicy prawn soup with coconut milk and herbs + Red curry with chicken + Sweet potatoes in coconut cream

Welcome drink & drinking water + steamed rice + ingredients, recipes & menus, apron and chef's hat for use during class, a 'Thai Culinary Arts' certificate + picture taking with our team.

    Nice people - good combination of menu. We join as a whole family, they provide clear instruction and interact with my parents, we enjoy our lunch (our own cooking) afterwards. The staff are very kind to provide assistance.

    Very Nice chef and lovely food. Will definately recommend this experience for other 🤩 We did the 4 different meals, and each of them was great. Dont be affraid if it will be too spicy - they will ask how you like it and adapt.

    The class was well organized and all the ingredients were prepared in advance and covered with foil, to keep insects away. The chef was very kind and tried to explain everything, but there was a bit of a language barrier present - we would have loved to know more about the food and culture, and to be able to have more of our questions answered. It was still good fun! There is a big garden behind the cooking station, where they grow their own bananas and coconuts, which was cool to see. There were a lot of mosquitos too, but the staff kindly provided us with a bug repellent, and we really enjoyed cooking outside (might have gone for a long sleeved clothing next time). One thing we thought could be better were the menu options, which are either heavy on coconut milk and raw leafy vegetables (and we tried to be cautious with eating raw food) or fish. Also, although raw ingredients were covered with foil, the meals we cooked were not (we cooked meal by meal and once we were done with everything, then we ate it). That also meant that most of our food was cold by the time we got to eat it. That was a shame. There was a strong push at the end to have our photos taken for marketing purposes. We politely declined, but were still asked continuously from different staff members, which felt a bit unnecessary and pushy. But overall, we did enjoy the cooking part of the experience.

    This was a fun, private class to do with friends where we got to cook 4 Thai dishes - all the ingredients were prepared and portioned so it was fairly simple. The chef and other staff were great and very helpful. The setting was beautiful and it was great we got to have lunch in the restaurant overlooking the garden. The portion sizes of the dishes are huge though, so be prepared to eat!

    We arrived for our experience (which did not come with transportation) 15 mins early since we were staying about 45 mins away and accounted for traffic. Unfortunately somehow our class was cancelled and were told we cancelled it and I showed confirmation messages. When I saw the email confirmation the lady was referring to it had different names on it, not ours. It was an inconvenience to have to hire driver to and from and to have it cancelled with no warning. We wasted 1/2 day in Phuket when we could have enjoyed something else.
