Hamish was a wonderful tour leader. He saw to the needs of all participants and arranged for a lunch at one of the wineries. Fromm winery was by far the best of the 4 we visited.
Small group and awesome tour guide who was knowledgeable, friendly, local and flexible. 1/2 day tour was enough with4 wineries we really saw a lot and did a lot of wine tasting. Special treat of a chocolate shop stop was inspired!
Wine tour was great The day before the tour however, the operator contacted us and said it would be an additional $40 because we were traveling from Picton. It is advertised from Picton and we paid for the tour 2 months ago. We have never had this happen with La Vacanza Travel before.
We had a very good time doing something a little unusual for us. Our guide Phil was very informative and fun. The wineries were all very different, and each was glad to have us visit. The timing for the wine and travel was well organized. And Phil helped get a non-alcoholic option for me. The weather was perfect and we had fun meeting new people. It was a great day.
A great wine tasting tour, we enjoyed some excellent wines at several cellar doors and finished our morning tour with a lovely meal washed down with more wine!
