Street signs non existent, gardens dirty and unkept, poor signage. Not money well spent. Very little to see.

Spent a lovely day looking around Port Louis, visiting a sugar mill, eating some authentic Mauritian food and finishing off a walk around the amazing botanical Gardens. Was a great way to spend a day to learn more about Mauritius, the culture and beautiful scenario. What made the trip super special was our tour guide for the day. Raggoo was so knowledgeable about everything, explaining as we went, making us laugh and truly making the different between a good tour and an exceptional tour. If you do this, definitely request him.

To really appreciate this botanical garden you need to be really interested in trees. There is an area with spice trees and our guide gave us some leqves and talked about them which really was the highlght of the visit. It's a pity that the colonial mansion on the property is not being used.
