Overview

We may start visiting the very traditional and interesting Braga City Centre. It has the oldest Cathedral in Portugal. The first one to be built in the country. After this visit, we will head to the breathtaking and famous place, Bom Jesus do Monte and its stately sanctuary.

On our way to Guimarães, enjoy a very tasty and typical lunch in a highly recommended restaurant.

Arriving Guimarães prepare youself to be amazed by unforgetable afternoon in the majestic Castle and the stunning Duques de Bragança Palace, including visiting each room, full of the most historical details. Afterwards you will be able to enjoy Guimarães centre free time to shopping, walk around and taste some typical pastry.

After some free time in this beautiful place, we will drive you back to Porto, full of new memories to remember and stories to tell.

Great tour with Julío! Had an amazing time in Braga and Guimarães. He was such a wonderful and knowledgeable guide with great recommendations.

The trip was fantastic and we were very fortunate to have Julio as our guide. He was an incredibly knowledgeable and amusing man and find in man gatos in my knowledge. Braga is a lovely town and I really enjoyed the walk up to the church.

My tour with another company was cancelled the day before so I went looking for another tour. This was the only tour still taking bookings for solo travelers. I booked in the afternoon the day before and received notice my booking and payment had been accepted but I will receive a confirmation email soon. After approx. 16hrs, no email/ phone call at all. I went to the pickup point where a guy on the phone told me they didnt even see my booking until 9pm the night before (5-6hrs after I booked it), the booking was not within 24hrs, and I was a solo traveler so my booking was not accepted. 1) how does it take 5-6hrs to even see a booking, and then no reply via email nor phone within 16hrs? Because of this I couldnt make other arrangements for the day, all other tours had begun. 2) if it must be within 24hrs, dont accept the booking (and payment), like every other tour on this website! In short, their service is terribly unprofessional and the only excuses i got were "its our busy season" and "its the website's fault". If being busy is a problem, get out of the game. Dont hide behind the website, other companies have figured it out and in the end it was YOU that failed to communicate. Edit: This review has been resubmitted after the company made contact with me to correct 1 point I misunderstood. However, as of right now (~12hrs before their next tour), they are still taking bookings on this website, against their supposed 24hr policy.

Very interesting tour - Julii was an excellent guide and the restaurant was also delicious. Lovely to find out more about Portuguese history and see beautiful towns.
