We will show you the most beautiful places in the region, outside the common circuit of visitors, Pinhão and Peso da Régua. We will visit 2 incredible wineries, touring the vineyards, with breathtaking landscapes. You will understand everything about wine production. We will have delicious wine and olive oil tastings. We will take a boat trip on the most important vessel in the Douro, RABELO. This boat will make the trip even more special. You will have a wine tasting on board, Vinho Verde. A fantastic lunch will be served at a traditional 5 stars restaurant, where you will taste the incredible gastronomy of Portugal, you will love it. We will take the most beautiful road in Portugal, N222.

Stop At: Casal de Loivos Viewpoint, Cabo da Rua, Casal de Loivos 5085-010 Portugal

It is a place with fantastic views, where you can take some beautiful pictures. The guide will explain the history of the Douro and the wines.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Pinhao, Pinhao, Vila Real District, Northern Portugal

It will be in Pinhão where we will have the boat cruise. This place is the heart of the Valley. The boat will take us to a area that we only have access by boat. Is a fantastic experience.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Pinhao Railway Station, Largo da Estacao, 5085, Pinhao 5085-037 Portugal

We will visit the famous Railway station in Pinhão with beautiful tiles painted by hand. The guide will explain all the tiles.

Duration: 15 minutes

Pass By: Peso Da Regua, Peso Da Regua, Vila Real District, Northern Portugal

Peso da Regua is the most important city in Douro region.
Many years ago, most of the boats carrying the wine barrels to Porto departed from here.

Stop At: Porto, Porto, Porto District, Northern Portugal

It´s time to return to Porto.

I had high expectations based on the premium price, and the experience far exceeded. Do yourself a favor and book this now. Pick up was right in time Great stop for coffee and pastries. Scenic overlook - Miguel took pics of us Private port tasting with cheese/meat board and olive oil tasting 5* lunch DOC wine tasting Dropped off right on time. Our guide Miguel is funny, knowledgeable and made sure we had a special day. This was a 1000% a wonderful experience.

Our tour guide,Juel, was very knowledgeable about the process of making port wine and its' history. Everything was perfectly planned, from the scenic ride through the valley with a ride in the Rabelo boat down the Douro River. We also enjoyed the tasting and tours of the the vineyards and a beautiful, hearty lunch of freshly caught fish in a local village overlooking the Douro Valley. The views were truly breathtaking! There were eight of us in our group and we all felt that it was a wonderful experience. Thank you, Juel!!!

Worth every penny! Goao Manuel is very knowledgeable about Porto as he grew up all his life in Porto. Extremely informative about wines and Ports. Professional and wanted our experience to be wonderful. Terrific agenda . Service was first class!

I had the pleasure of experiencing a private tour with Oporto Sensations Tours to the Douro Valley with my Husband, Sister & Brother-in-Law, and it was nothing short of exceptional. Our journey in an eight-passenger van was comfortable and allowed us to take in the breathtaking scenery. The wine tastings at two premium wineries were a highlight of the tour. The flavors were phenomenal, and the olive oil tasting added an extra layer of delight. Taking a moment to savor coffee in a quaint Pinhao coffee shop before our river cruise was a charming touch. The Douro River cruise was a lovely addition to our day, offering picturesque views that left us in awe. Lunch, a traditional Portuguese meal, was not only delicious but also complemented by a stunning view down the hill to the river. Our guide, Pedro, was incredibly knowledgeable about wines and the Douro region. He shared fascinating facts about the small towns we passed through, as well as the history of port wine making, enhancing our experience. My only caveat is that Pedro drove quite fast on winding roads and through little towns, which left us allbnerve-racked, even as a Portuguese woman who understands the need for speed. One of the clients insisted he slow down and he did from then on. Despite this, I wholeheartedly recommend Oporto Sensations Tours if you're planning a visit to the Portuguese Douro Valley. The exceptional wine tastings, picturesque scenery, and cultural experiences make it a journey to remember.
