This tasting was designed for those who wish to discover all styles of Port Wine.

About us:
With more than 100 years of existance, Pocas lies in the hands of the 3rd and 4th generation, being one of the very few Port Wine company that was born Portuguese and still belongs to the same Portuguese family. The Old Tawny Ports have built Pocas’ reputation but DOC Douro wines have been proving their own quality over the last 30 years.
Recently, Pocas received the award of “Fortified wine producer of the year 2018” by the Portuguese magazine “Revista de Vinhos”. Our Visitor Center has been opened to the public since 2016, having been renovated in 2018 by the portuguese architects Lúcia Vaz Pato and António Mota. Welcoming about 28 000 visitors per year, the Visitor Center has also been distinguished with the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence.

The Experience will start with a guided visit to the aging cellar where the fabulous wines have been aging for more than 100 years. You will get to know what makes Port Wine so special and also learn about the place where it is made: the Douro Valley. Then you'll walk into the Tasting Room where a harmonized tasting of three different Port Wines awaits. You will find out what pairs well with Port Wine and discover Port styles that you might not have tasted before. You'll also have the possibility of tasting other wines (not included) and buying all the available references at our shop.

Was an interesting tour not as expansive as thought woukd be .just walk through a cellar watch video.. the location was way way up quite a walk and hard to find.. the port though was very nice and not one I've seen heard of in the UK which was nice

Made a reservation to try port for the first time. I wanted something that didn’t feel intimidating and had some history. Great choice because Filip Job was the guide of our small group and was very informative and kept it light. Learned a lot in a short amount of time and the three tastings I had were amazing. My favorite has to be the LBV 2018. I would highly recommend this place. I took the train here as I was staying in Lapa area but walked back which was great to be able to see both sides of Porto.
