Aveiro, which is considered “our small Venice” is a destination in the centre of Portugal that you should not miss.

This region is rich in old traditions, from the typical boats “moliceiros” along the channels of the town to the famous regional sweets of “ovos-moles” and the “Salinas” where you can see how salt is exploited. All these make this visit memorable and unique.

Our aim is to show you the striking beauty of the place and the traditions of its inhabitants.

After visiting the centre we will head to the coast to visit the picturesque fishing village of Costa Nova with its lovely stripe painted houses.

In full contact with the Atlantic Ocean we will be surprised by the famous “Farol da Barra” (Lighthouse) which is the highest in Portugal and one of the highest in Europe.

This tour was absolutely incredible! Company kept our scheduled tour even though we were the only people scheduled for that day. It enhanced the experience tremendously because João gave us a personal/customized experience based on our interests. We have never met someone more passionate about their country and culture than João. We highly recommend this tour more and suggest booking all day tours through this company!

We had a wonderful time on our tour. Our tour guide Jule was awesome and provided tidbits of knowledge and history of Porto and even gave us a special surprise which we enjoyed. We highly recommend this tour and our tour guide Jule (not sure if this is spelled correctly) but ask for him and you will not be disappointed!

There were only the two of us booked on this tour and the rain was terrible. Our guide Pedro spoke excellent English and made the day enjoyable despite the weather. The cruise around the canals, in quite torrential rain at times, went ahead for those of us hardy enough to go on it.

João was an excellent guide and driver. He took us to the Faro lighthouse, Costa Nova, the Salinas, and, of course, to Aveiro. We sampled Ovos moles and enjoyed a canal boat ride. 100% perfect, including the weather. I highly recommend this company.

I had a great time visiting Aveiro on this half day tour. Our tour guide was excellent, friendly and showed us a wonderful time in the few hours we had to visit this wonderful town. I highly recommend this tour if you are looking to get out of Porto and also a good stop on your way to Lisbon from Porto.
