Quite average tour. Forget about the sunset when it ends at 7pm. Guide lives in Porto for 8 months so hardly a guide. Bikes quite average. Overall waste of money to be honest, would be better to rent bikes without a guide and cycle along the beach ourselves.

Great way to see a lot of Porto (and Gaia!) in a short time (2.5-3 hours). Helmets are available if you would like to wear one. We were able to travel so far and it was so wonderful to bike by the ocean with the fresh air. He even took us to a small bakery that is a favourite of the locals. Would highly recommend

Arranged this on the day of our arrival, to orientate ourselves with the various areas, the sunset tour met at 4.00 pm. The tour was led by Ellio and consisted of myself, husband and one other couple from Belgium. Ellio was very informative stopping regularly to point out landmarks and points of interest. We rode over the Pont Dom Luis Bridge through Gaia past the Port Wine Cellars along the River to Afurada (Fisherman's District) Ellio pointed out some local typical non touristy fish restaurants, we went back to for a delicious meal the following day. Crossed back over the Douro River on a small ferry(Rabelo) before riding on through the Foz District (very English) up to where the River opens up to the Sea.We rode back via some lovely parks and gardens, overall we was out for nearly four hours but we had plenty of stops for refreshments and fresh fruit which the company provided for us. Ellio was very knowledgeable on the area and the also the history of Portugal. A great trip to kick off with and we liked it because it is limited riding on roads with traffic on, mainly using on cycle paths and does not tackle the hills up into the old town which would be very testing cycling.
